I think he is definitely no longer a beloved wolverine by the mgoblog nation, maybe I am wrong. But I know I have grown tired of his antics, especially the "Lloyd Carr's Michigan" stuff. How does everyone else feel?
January 16th, 2011 at 6:08 PM ^
Did he say that again today? Not that it would mean much because it is probably just an old recording, but I'm just curious.
January 16th, 2011 at 6:12 PM ^
it was the standard starting lineups via nantz.
January 16th, 2011 at 6:19 PM ^
of course I'm biased because his heroics against MSU were the first taste of Michigan football that I had (my freshman year at UM) and I'm a Jets fan.
I'm not a fan of his "Lloyd Carr's University of Michigan", but I believe that was taped before the season by NBC and they've reused it every week on SNF. Moreover, even our beloved Tom Brady was critical of RR at one point.
Plus, doesn't he continue to give back to UM (i.e. through the #1 jersey scholarship fund, he organized some charity event for Mott Hospital IIRC last year)
January 16th, 2011 at 6:32 PM ^
Personally I've impressed by the progress Braylon has made. I recall when he used to get benched for the first quarters of games due to team rule infractions / fighting with Carr. Also that backflip out of the Victory formation that set Carr off.
To see Braylon supporting Motts and paying tribute to Carr, personally I'm just happy that in his four years here Braylon went from fighting with Carr to supporting him and his causes (Carr after all has always been a huge booster of Motts).
Braylon's off the field conduct is far from perfect, but I'm not about to claim we should break ties with him. He improved with Carr, he can improve in other areas.
January 16th, 2011 at 6:38 PM ^
I'm just sick of him acting like his shit doesn't stink when he is STILL constantly getting in trouble. DUI's, arrested for fighting, yada yada acts like and idiot in general. I love that he gives back to the university and Mott, I just wish he wasn't such a douche about stuff.
January 16th, 2011 at 7:46 PM ^
While Edwards has certainly done positive things for the University, I agree that as a football player he is incredibly difficult to root for. Outside of one good year with the Browns, he's been a disappointment on and off the field.
January 16th, 2011 at 5:59 PM ^
Is Tom Brady.

January 16th, 2011 at 6:01 PM ^
the guy dropped a sure TD.
January 16th, 2011 at 6:08 PM ^
If the Jets win, it will be an automatic ticket to the Super Bowl for the Steelers. Come on Pats.
January 16th, 2011 at 6:10 PM ^
because I really hate everything about the jets, but I don't know, they have this habit of beating teams they are not better than...Sanchez is just awful how are they winning with him?
January 16th, 2011 at 6:13 PM ^
Well my only hope is the statistic they put on the screen at the beginning of half time. The last time the Patriots were held without a TD in the first half, they came out and scored 35 in the second half. Hopefully the Hooded Houdini can adjust.
Sanchez is a dink. This just shows you how effective the Jets D can be.
January 16th, 2011 at 6:15 PM ^
this unfortunately feels a lot like the Ravens with Trent Dilfer.
January 16th, 2011 at 6:21 PM ^
because we beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh during the regular season.
January 16th, 2011 at 6:23 PM ^
What's your number. I'll cheer for you.
January 16th, 2011 at 6:26 PM ^
I'll be in Rex's doghouse if he finds out I was posting to MGoBlog during the game. And we all know on the team that Rex's doghouse = acting in one of his wife's productions.
January 16th, 2011 at 6:29 PM ^
While I got you here, does Rex eat fluffy bunnies when you lose?
January 16th, 2011 at 7:14 PM ^
Yea, and Baltimore beat them in the regular season too. Good logic.
January 16th, 2011 at 8:19 PM ^
when did i ever guarantee a win for the Jets next week? You on the other hand said the Steelers would have an automatic ticket to the Superbowl, which is why I pointed out that the Jets have already beaten the Steelers at Heinz Field, and thus next week's game is very winnable for New York.
January 16th, 2011 at 10:10 PM ^
Because the snarkooze coming out of your "totally makes sense...we beat them...so on..." You see playing in Heinz stadium and winning again with an offense that depends on the running game against the top rushing defense in the playoffs as "very winable."
January 17th, 2011 at 12:06 AM ^
You're once again missing the point and you fail to address the original post that you made.
You see a Steelers team that now has "an automatic ticket" to beat a Jets team that has defeated them in Heinz Field and has shut down arguably the 2 best quarterbacks in the NFL. The way the Jets defense is playing, they have a shot to beat anyone in the league.
January 17th, 2011 at 12:31 AM ^
I see your "point" and also see that it is "wrong".
The Steelers D is and has been better than the Jets D. In order to win a game you have to score points.
Ben Rothelischeeseburger > Mark Dirty Sanchez.
Mendenhall > LT or Green
Steelers> Jets= automatic ticket to Super Bowl.
Get the point?

on a scale of 1-10, I will go with 20
January 16th, 2011 at 6:14 PM ^
Big. I have a feeling they will get at least three though.
January 16th, 2011 at 6:17 PM ^
Edelman is fucking pumped. Game Ova.
January 16th, 2011 at 6:21 PM ^
Rising.
January 16th, 2011 at 6:30 PM ^
So I've passes 18 times and run 19 with a bunch of division 3 running backs...
January 16th, 2011 at 6:34 PM ^
Yeah but your line can't pass protect for shit.
January 16th, 2011 at 7:04 PM ^
Added to Senior Bowl roster, per MGShoe's new post.
January 16th, 2011 at 6:34 PM ^
very perplexing at this point
January 16th, 2011 at 6:36 PM ^
That take ten minutes, when they have 2 seconds. They should be nickel and diming the blitzs to death, but they're panicking because they're trailing.
January 16th, 2011 at 6:36 PM ^
But I was hoping for only a token brilliant punt or two.
January 16th, 2011 at 6:39 PM ^
Please wake up and stop playing like crap. You're embarassing the Golden boy and trying to get him injured.

January 16th, 2011 at 6:41 PM ^
Spread the field and get an extra second. Can't depend on this mediocre D to keep carrying you. Have to start scoring NOW. They don't give a crap if you're running it anyway.
January 16th, 2011 at 6:53 PM ^
What a great playcall on the 2pt conversion. It's starting to look like Belichick and Brady will find a way to win this game.
January 16th, 2011 at 6:54 PM ^
now we have a ballgame
January 16th, 2011 at 7:00 PM ^

He shaved after he got arrested last.
January 16th, 2011 at 7:08 PM ^
Trying to run out the clock?
January 16th, 2011 at 7:10 PM ^
Theyre trying to keep the Jets D honest, but if the Pats dont score this series they need to go air it out.
January 16th, 2011 at 7:14 PM ^
It'll be too late.

Yikes. Super Bowl will have the Steelers in it.
