will feel the agony of DaFeet!
AFC Divisional Game Open Thread
No matter what happens, many, many tears will be shed tonight.
Your Brady prediction doesn't leave much room for Zoltan highlights...but I'm OK with that.
Zoltan should rack up a couple of TDs on fake punts.
That's better, thanks.
The Michigan connection for this game:
That handsome fellow, Tom Brady
The Space Emperor, Zoltan Mesko
shawn crabble for jets
Rex Ryan loves the punt as much as Carroll apparently.
A punt starts with a foot, no?
Michigan to Michigan connection.
Not very ex-teammate like of David Harris
To be fair, I don't think they were ever teammates.
David Harris yeah! Wait...maybe not so much...hmm...
Missed 30-yard field goal FTW
Rex Ryan better examine Folk's kicking foot. It may need a good rubbing.
Did the Jets get any positive yardage after that? All backwards and a kicker trained by the same team that trains ours?
Ooo. And now Brady gets sacked.
Surprisingly, Nick Folk did not go to Mich
That was a ridiculously close missed field goal.
Daaaaang check out that facemask!
Does Rex Ryan have a special interest in his kicking game? I'm hoping for many a missed FG by the Jets to allow for all kind of jokes from the press.
That missed field goal could have been the difference between a 35-3 loss and a 35-6 loss.
I'm just glad Brady got his pick out of the way early. If he throws 1 every 340, he should be good through the Super Bowl.
Welker for putting his foot in his mouth.
Tom Selleck is a handsome fellow.
Woooo field goal!
Should have let Mesko kick it.
Catch the damn ball!
If it was a sandwich,I bet he would have caught it.
Zoltan would not have kicked it into the end zone.
Speaking of kicking...
Yikes, Pats are playing tight.
still had 10 yards of roll left in it. Zoltan got screwed out of 10 more net.
Tom Brady has a strong manball chin.
BLOCK so Brady can be Brady.
Man, it seems as if Brady and his receivers aren't on the same page.
Please don't tell me Rex Ryan has befuddled the Hoodie and the Pats offense.
To this day it's still hard to believe that Tom Brady is this awesome, and Drew Henson is not even a viable backup in this league.
I'm sorry. I was mesmerized by your avatar. Did you say something?
Derga Derga Derga
Braylon fought for the TD there.
Michigan players are making some big plays...(except for Mr. Brady)...Come on Tom.
I think he is definitely no longer a beloved wolverine by the mgoblog nation, maybe I am wrong. But I know I have grown tired of his antics, especially the "Lloyd Carr's Michigan" stuff. How does everyone else feel?
Did he say that again today? Not that it would mean much because it is probably just an old recording, but I'm just curious.
it was the standard starting lineups via nantz.
of course I'm biased because his heroics against MSU were the first taste of Michigan football that I had (my freshman year at UM) and I'm a Jets fan.
I'm not a fan of his "Lloyd Carr's University of Michigan", but I believe that was taped before the season by NBC and they've reused it every week on SNF. Moreover, even our beloved Tom Brady was critical of RR at one point.
Plus, doesn't he continue to give back to UM (i.e. through the #1 jersey scholarship fund, he organized some charity event for Mott Hospital IIRC last year)
Personally I've impressed by the progress Braylon has made. I recall when he used to get benched for the first quarters of games due to team rule infractions / fighting with Carr. Also that backflip out of the Victory formation that set Carr off.
To see Braylon supporting Motts and paying tribute to Carr, personally I'm just happy that in his four years here Braylon went from fighting with Carr to supporting him and his causes (Carr after all has always been a huge booster of Motts).
Braylon's off the field conduct is far from perfect, but I'm not about to claim we should break ties with him. He improved with Carr, he can improve in other areas.
I'm just sick of him acting like his shit doesn't stink when he is STILL constantly getting in trouble. DUI's, arrested for fighting, yada yada acts like and idiot in general. I love that he gives back to the university and Mott, I just wish he wasn't such a douche about stuff.
While Edwards has certainly done positive things for the University, I agree that as a football player he is incredibly difficult to root for. Outside of one good year with the Browns, he's been a disappointment on and off the field.
Is Tom Brady.
was really dumb.
the guy dropped a sure TD.
If the Jets win, it will be an automatic ticket to the Super Bowl for the Steelers. Come on Pats.
because I really hate everything about the jets, but I don't know, they have this habit of beating teams they are not better than...Sanchez is just awful how are they winning with him?
Well my only hope is the statistic they put on the screen at the beginning of half time. The last time the Patriots were held without a TD in the first half, they came out and scored 35 in the second half. Hopefully the Hooded Houdini can adjust.
Sanchez is a dink. This just shows you how effective the Jets D can be.
this unfortunately feels a lot like the Ravens with Trent Dilfer.
because we beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh during the regular season.
What's your number. I'll cheer for you.
I'll be in Rex's doghouse if he finds out I was posting to MGoBlog during the game. And we all know on the team that Rex's doghouse = acting in one of his wife's productions.
While I got you here, does Rex eat fluffy bunnies when you lose?
Yea, and Baltimore beat them in the regular season too. Good logic.
when did i ever guarantee a win for the Jets next week? You on the other hand said the Steelers would have an automatic ticket to the Superbowl, which is why I pointed out that the Jets have already beaten the Steelers at Heinz Field, and thus next week's game is very winnable for New York.
Because the snarkooze coming out of your "totally makes sense...we beat them...so on..." You see playing in Heinz stadium and winning again with an offense that depends on the running game against the top rushing defense in the playoffs as "very winable."
You're once again missing the point and you fail to address the original post that you made.
You see a Steelers team that now has "an automatic ticket" to beat a Jets team that has defeated them in Heinz Field and has shut down arguably the 2 best quarterbacks in the NFL. The way the Jets defense is playing, they have a shot to beat anyone in the league.
I see your "point" and also see that it is "wrong".
The Steelers D is and has been better than the Jets D. In order to win a game you have to score points.
Ben Rothelischeeseburger > Mark Dirty Sanchez.
Mendenhall > LT or Green
Steelers> Jets= automatic ticket to Super Bowl.
Get the point?
on a scale of 1-10, I will go with 20
Big. I have a feeling they will get at least three though.
Edelman is fucking pumped. Game Ova.
So I've passes 18 times and run 19 with a bunch of division 3 running backs...
Yeah but your line can't pass protect for shit.
Added to Senior Bowl roster, per MGShoe's new post.
very perplexing at this point
That take ten minutes, when they have 2 seconds. They should be nickel and diming the blitzs to death, but they're panicking because they're trailing.
But I was hoping for only a token brilliant punt or two.
Please wake up and stop playing like crap. You're embarassing the Golden boy and trying to get him injured.
Spread the field and get an extra second. Can't depend on this mediocre D to keep carrying you. Have to start scoring NOW. They don't give a crap if you're running it anyway.
What a great playcall on the 2pt conversion. It's starting to look like Belichick and Brady will find a way to win this game.
now we have a ballgame
What a catch
Seems he's groomed himself up.
He shaved after he got arrested last.
Trying to run out the clock?
Theyre trying to keep the Jets D honest, but if the Pats dont score this series they need to go air it out.
It'll be too late.
when the goose is cooked.... its cooked, and bill got his goose cooked
Since he was a Brown.
Yikes. Super Bowl will have the Steelers in it.
Woodley needs more hardware anyway.
Woodley/Foote, Braylon/Harris (They still have Pryce?), Woodson, or Todd Collins. Of those, I'd go with Woodson. Unless Collins gets to play due to injury.
He's on the Jets roster, but does he have a connection to Michigan? As for those who did not stay, Ryan Mundy is on the Steelers.
Before he went to Clemson. I think the word was at the time he wanted to go somewhere where classes were more optional.
Edit P.S. Good call on Mundy
Is it just me or does it seem like every time the pats get momentum a jets player is hurt? Rex Ryan is such bullshit
Man I hate Green Bay and Pittsburgh, and the only team I liked bows out early. Did I mention FUCK?
Ryan runs well. Must've crapped his pants.
Oh, wait, that was the Pats.
Bears path much easier now!
They still have to get by Green Bay.
A playoff abortion.
And boom goes the dynamite.
I liked Braylon's flip.
It really sucks to see things not go well for Brady.
