Adolphus Washington Quote
“It’s the education part,” Washington continued. “I know all these schools athletically can offer me the same thing. The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you’re giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail.”

The sad thing is the poor guy seems to think that it's a good thing that he won't have to study.
The other sad thing is that the 247sports writer misinterprets the comment. The writer implies that what Adolphus likes about OSU is their academics. What Adolphus actually says is that he likes that he doesn't have to do academics.

joke classes, people to take the tests for you, ghost paper writers, cupcake majors, etc, etc. It's pretty sad because this player is getting an opportunity to get a degree that can provide some value later after his football career is over. And even if he does get a degree, it isn't going to be worth the paper it's written on.

Which in turn impacts the worth of every other degree they grant. It's sad and unnecessary.
I have an absolutely brilliant friend who's a professor at OSU, and her life's work is tarnished in some small way by the fact that the first thing people think of when they see her institutional affiliation is large men in football uniforms with 0.00 GPAs.
So, on the occasion of Hate Week, let this be the place where I register my utter contempt for the asshats that run that school and put the interests of the athletic department over the interests of the institution at large.
Beat Ohio.
