Everyone following the event is talking about how great McDowell looks.  Ran a 4.98 forty at 6-5, 260.  Said he wants to make a decision by the end of his Junior year.  Michigan is the presumed leader.

Edit: Told Steve at Tremendous that he grew up a Michigan fan.

My guess is that if we get Isaac to commit our chances with Treadwell improve greatly.  Apparantly ND is conceding the Isaac fight and going after other RB's making it seem like it's between UM and USC.  New USC QB commit said he was going to start recruiting Isaac right after he commited.

Beat Mathis twice in a one-on-one tug of war (really unique drill).  Dominating in all of the drills.  Looks stronger and lighter on his feet according to everyone there.

Dawson calls to go against Mathis in 1-on-1, Mathis gets the best of him (These drills favor D-linemen).  Dawson said he wants to go against Mathis all day and try to get a good competitive relationship going.  Seems like Dawson will be recruiting Mathis hard these next couple months.

Dawson told Sam Webb that he thinks LTT to Cass Tech is a done deal.  That team will be stacked next year.

Ed: Cass Tech coach Thomas Wilcher says Dawson was premature and that he (Wilcher) is not optimistic about an LTT transfer.

Poet Thomas almost seems too tall at 6-6 to play the NT.  I'm pretty sure he's being recruited by Florida and Colorado to play on offense.  I also don't think Thomas is the kind of guy blessed with great hips to really get underneath guys if he plays the NT.

Gibbs on the other hand is 6-2 which would probably translate better to the NT.  Plus he's at Cass Tech, so it's good to keep that pipeline wide open.

He's about the same time as Alan Branch who was an absolute beast for us. I'm not saying that he will be that caliber of player but height alone won't kill him. Even if he can't get underneath an OL he can use his arm length and strength to win those battles. If we miss on a few guys we're in on then I wouldn't mind a late offer to Poet.

Kyle Bosch just showed up, not to compete, but to hang out with and support his teammates.  He'll probably help recruit Mathis while he's here.  You have to love the camaraderie these recruits already have.

Not at the Adidas Invitational, but Andy Bauer, a highly touted 2014 OL with an offer from UM, just commited to Mizzou via twitter.  Not confirmed yet to make sure it was Andy and not one of his friends playing a joke or anything like that.

Bosch and Dawson have been chatting up Mathis for half an hour.

Morris apparantly working on Malik McDowell

Both according to Steve Lorenz

Great to see these kids recruiting.

I think were good at RB.This Isaac situation remind me of Dunn. We need recievers and a DT.. I also agree that the USC's new QB can Suck IT. HAHA

Isaac has never committed to a school like Dunn did. We are Isaac's presumed leader, we were never technically Dunn's as he was always committed to Ohio. It is five months away from the start of Ty's senior year of football. If the kid wants to take his time, and see what every school has to offer, he has full rights to do that. Ty's recruitment has in no way been like Dunn's. Not sure what you were implying with that comment?

I agree..I dont see the similarity at all..Dunn pledged early and waivered late but stayed with OSU..Ty is letting the schools recruit him and will make his pledge pretty soon..If he waivers then maybe we can compare it to Dunn.

Ty may be deciding if he wants to do the official visit thing or not..I think it will take a big push from USC or ND to take him away from UM ..just my opinion

However the longer it plays out the more things happen..I really dont want to see Auburn get too involved because they $eem to have a way with kids.

Lewis shuts down Onwualu in 1-on-1.  Looking good so far.  Jaylon Smith seems to be far and away the best back 7 player at the Invitational.

Apparantly he played CB and got a pick and chased down super-quick Berkley Edwards in the open field.  Hope he picks ND over OSU

Lots of positive news coming out for Lewis right now. Chantel Jennings says he's making some amazing catches and Steve Lorenz says he beat Jaylon Smith when Lewis was at WR.

Jay'ru, Shane, and Chance are all throwing really well according to those there.

Sounds like Jourdan Lewis really kicked some ass.  Wiltfong said he put on the second best performance after Jaylon Smith (who is a complete stud by all accounts).

If our coaches ever retire, they should start their own recruiting website.  Yet another one of their under the radar early commits outperforms expectations at an invitational.  Love it!

Rivals ranking made after the fact (2/9)... had already received (2/1) a Michigan offer.  In fact, offered so early by Michigan, the only other offer he held at that point was from Toledo.  Plus, I think most insiders consider him to be a top 100 player, not just a top 250.  And, for what it's worth, Scout still has him as only a 3*.  So, yes, I would say under the radar...

-Shane had a good day throwing, duh

-Jay'ru looked really good, remember he's two years younger than some guys he's playing with/against

-2014 Cass Tech receiver Damon Webb looked really good

-All three 2014 Cass Tech LB's (Drake, White, and Hosey) did well

-Joe Mathis really bonded with Dawson, Bosch and other UM commits

-McDowell should end recruitment soon, parents and coaches seem to be telling him to take his time.  He looked REALLY good today and he's presumed to be a heavy UM lean.
