Agreeing to play a west coast time zone team at 11pm their time vs 2am our time was one of the dumbest moves I've seen Dantonio do. If I were an AP member I would give them a break for that loss, they were in control of that game until their wheels came off about 1:30-2am our time.

They must have been listening to Herbie last night cause that's exactly what he suggested for the top 6 this week.

Just keep winning and everything will take care of itself.

I agree with you, 6 is high, though it isn’t unreasonable, and will feel more legit if we win the next two weeks. Partly, I think it was really lucky timing on our part to destroy #15 on the day that so many top teams lost. I’m guessing that many voters moved us up more than might have otherwise since they were already shaking things up so much. Had we beaten Wisconsin badly on an earlier week and barely squeaked by Northwestern this week, I think our ranking wouldn’t have been so good.

This is a bit absurd.  I can only explain the high ranking due to ND being dominant... Thanks ND!

I think MSU should be higher... Beating PSU on the road is impressive.

Fuck rank, beat MSU!

While it was a dominant performance last night, we definitely also got helped by four top-10 teams losing yesterday.

Huge test coming up next weekend. MSU has been foaming at the mouth for this game for the last year. If we start slow on the road again, we’re in trouble. We’re getting their best game.

All our goals are there ahead of us. We'll likely have to deal with ND being a playoff team (they ain't losing a game this season -- no, USC won't beat them), but we can play in Indy for a shot at a playoff spot ourselves. But...we know what that will take. First, we gotta take care of business in East Lansing.
