as is widely anticipated, it's gonna be the biggest celebration in nearly 17 years, since Michigan's Rose Bowl victory over WSU for the National Championship.

It'll be the greatest of 5-day late Christmas/4-day late Boxer and Kwanzaa/2-day early New Year's gifts ever (not to mention, a 3-day late birthday gift for ME!!!) !

If indeed all this goes down, as good as Brandt's sources are, we will be hearing that Harbaugh has had initial discussions with Michigan sometime around the Spring Game, perhaps a little after that. All goes well, the contract will be finalized just in time for the conference schedule in early October. The man is that connected.

well my little bay area friend, if JH gets hold of you, you will be the one 'struggling'.  and while we're at it, urban and dantonio are going to find their collars a little tight here in the very near future.   so put that in your pipe and smoke it.   jerk.

Edit/clarification:  comment is meant for the author, not the OP.   JH is not struggling, he's about to start an epic tail kicking.

going to be one hell of an ending to 2014. Hopefully I don't die from alcohol poisoning on New Year's when I'm drinking double for 2015 Harbaugh being Michigan's head football coach.

There are the local "look at me" reporters that want to be first to report something. Tweet a bunch of shit and generate clicks. There's the "nothing to see here" reporters (NFL!) that chime in about what they think should happen.

Then there are the "let's get this mostly right" news organizations that report what happened. "Dewey defeats Truman" caveats apply, but I think the mainstream media sees this as a done deal.

Michigan gets this done before any talk happens with Raiders. Hackett and Michigan officials I'm sure this isn't just about the scenery.

I will take the unconfirmed abc report as confirmed. We will know for certain from somewhere tomorrow. I think. I hope.

Damn its too early for the head spins.

I think I would really hate to be Jim Harbaugh right now! But I'm also pretty sure that Hackett being an intelligent business man isn't in the Bay area to pounce on Jim at the possible earliest moment, I would guess the meeting is set and has been set for awhile. They will hash some things out and all of the other unconfirmed reports that will come out about every NFL team wanting a new coach being in the Bay Area this weekend will be just another rumor. After the game tomorrow Jim will gracefully resign from the 49ers and announce his acceptance to the Michigan Wolverines.

TOO EARLY?

I wasn't referring to the money when I made the comment I would hate to be Harbaugh right now. It would suck to be in his position.

Why? He Loves Michigan! He Loves Coaching! He Loves the NFL. Couple of days ago he was in the top 10 of most searched people on the internet. It would suck to know that know matter what you do and no matter what decision you make alot of people are going to be talking alot of shit about no matter what decision he makes.
