Illinois scores a late TD to go up 8.  One TV announcer realized the Illini RB could have ended the game by taking a knee past the sticks, the other TV announcer just couldn't wrap his head around it.  (Not saying this is the same situation. It depends on timeouts, etc.)  Even after a would-be TD pass from Brady to Terrell grazed off of Terrell's outstretched hands/fingers.

Under 2 minutes left. Cass just running the ball. BR still has their timeouts and has just used one.

First down Cass Tech, and that will do it here at Adams Field at Wayne State in the Prep Kickoff Classic. Cass Tech will just take a knee the next play and they will beat their 3rd catholic league team in the past 4 games they have played dating back to last season.

Mattison needs to start camping out at Cass Tech for Damon Webb....

My God, what a stat line against a perennial powerhouse.  Good to see a DPL school having success against Rice.

Good stuff WD. I was thoroughly entertained by that. I don't know if this was asked before or not, but do you cover HS football, or did you attend the game for personal reasons (ex. friend or family member playing, following current/potential UM recruits, or just knew that this was going to be a barn burner?)
