5* Josh Christopher sets Michigan OV for 11/22
November 7th, 2019 at 10:01 AM ^
Recommendation: Reference sport in title so folks aren't left wondering is this likely football or basketball.
November 7th, 2019 at 10:11 AM ^
Sorry, thought most people knew who he is
November 7th, 2019 at 10:16 AM ^
I mean if you follow this board this isn't the first time his name has came up. So i agree with you.
November 7th, 2019 at 10:31 AM ^
I'm on this board multiple times a day every day.
I don't know who he is.
November 7th, 2019 at 10:45 AM ^
Could be that i have a better memory?
November 7th, 2019 at 11:01 AM ^
No, I’m pretty sure you don’t have a better memory than me. Wait what were we talking about?
November 7th, 2019 at 12:01 PM ^
Probably. That's why it should be in the title, for people who have CRS.
November 7th, 2019 at 12:05 PM ^
Why do people get so up right about subtle omissions from OP headers. I mean this god damn America
November 8th, 2019 at 2:47 PM ^
Just a recommendation...take it or leave it. I think there are a fair number of folks that follow football recruiting and may or may not follow basketball, but don't follow its recruiting. When it comes to basketball I'll pay attention to who we land, not necessarily who we target and recruit, whereas with football I know most of the high profile targets. I think this is reflective of the blog as we don't do front page recruiting roundups for bball to my knowledge.
November 7th, 2019 at 10:47 AM ^
Agree you could add that to the title, also agree I knew immediately who was being discussed and what sport he plays
November 7th, 2019 at 11:21 AM ^
I'm on here a few times per day and I have never heard of him.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:57 AM ^
Nope, and still do not.
November 7th, 2019 at 10:21 AM ^
Also, contrary to popular belief, twitter embeds work in the OP. Helps with the informative bits.
November 7th, 2019 at 10:38 AM ^
I read “dynamic 6’5 guard” and was hoping he was OL.
November 7th, 2019 at 10:44 AM ^
Just needs to hit the weight room.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:20 AM ^
November 7th, 2019 at 1:15 PM ^
I figured this was some kind of conspiracy to get Matt D fired by pretending to not know who Josh Christopher is.
I thought this was a pretty big deal right now. If he would have committed, people would have been shocked?
November 7th, 2019 at 10:25 AM ^
Also, include his last name instead of both of his first names
November 7th, 2019 at 11:16 AM ^
I hope we get him. He's going to be an absolute serial killer on the court.
November 7th, 2019 at 3:00 PM ^
As long as he keeps his killing confined to the court.
November 7th, 2019 at 6:14 PM ^
You spelt "Cereal" wrong and forgot to put in "food" before 'court'......
November 7th, 2019 at 10:34 AM ^
Position, Year, and Home State are some good details to include in the OP.
November 7th, 2019 at 12:30 PM ^
Also address, phone, and social security number.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:44 AM ^
Maizen says if it’s a 5* you can rule out football.
November 7th, 2019 at 12:10 PM ^
OP - from now on can you make sure you attach a cover page to your TPS reports?
November 7th, 2019 at 10:03 AM ^
nice height for a guard, but he needs to add a lot of beef before he'll be effective at pin-and-pull, pass pro, down G, etc.
November 7th, 2019 at 10:29 AM ^
All that doesn't matter. We need a dynamic player to score. Question is, how long will he stay in A2? Because Mel Pearson could use some roster consistency, especially up front.
November 7th, 2019 at 1:13 PM ^
He looks to be perfect for #speedinspace
November 7th, 2019 at 10:04 AM ^
2020 EM 5️⃣⭐️ Josh Christopher has locked in an official visit with Michigan per Rivals.
— Endless Motor Sports (@endless_motor) November 7, 2019
The dynamic 6’5 guard will make his way to Ann Arbor on 11/22
Wolverine HC Juwan Howard already has 5️⃣⭐️ Isaiah Todd in the mix & is looking to add more firepowerhttps://t.co/Mrs72Ooiz4 pic.twitter.com/4NJVBA00TO
His final 4 is Michigan, UCLA, Missouri, and Howard.
November 7th, 2019 at 10:11 AM ^
I love our chances.
November 7th, 2019 at 10:42 AM ^
Yes, especially since we comprise two of his four finalists.
November 7th, 2019 at 10:46 AM ^
Seriously though, Howard? I mean, if he's going to play school that's great but presumably he's looking for a chance at the NBA.
I see a comment below that says AZ St rather than Howard, though, so I'm really confused about Howard being on the list of finalists in the comment above.
November 7th, 2019 at 10:53 AM ^
Maybe he values a HBCU experience? Usually doesn’t matter where one and dones go to school lol.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:03 AM ^
He's going to be one and done no matter where he goes. First 5* to go to an HBCU would be a big deal for a recruit IMO. Could be good for his brand since he's only going to spend a year in college anyways.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:09 AM ^
I'm not a marketing expert but I think the lack of exposure at Howard would hurt his brand.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:17 AM ^
I'm pretty sure they don't offer full athletic scholarships.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:47 AM ^
But in the African American community, it would be a huge deal. I don't mean brand as in finances because he won't be able to benefit (over the table) in that way til he's done with college. But when he does get to the NBA, it'd make him unique. First lottery pick from HBCU in history? I can see it.
I think you can argue his brand would benefit more from elsewhere, but there are ways he can benefit from it by going to Howard.
November 7th, 2019 at 12:50 PM ^
Howard? Maybe he likes Michigan so much he listed them twice - Michigan and (Juwan) Howard.
November 8th, 2019 at 2:27 AM ^
Michigan and Coach Howard—COOL!
50-50 chance...
November 7th, 2019 at 10:05 AM ^
His other finalists: Arizona St, where his brother plays, Missouri, where his cousin is the strength coach and UCLA, which is the home school. Getting the visit so there is at least a punchers chance but I'm not gonna get my hopes up.
November 7th, 2019 at 10:09 AM ^
If ASU or UCLA take him on a tour of their outdoor fitness center pool, we're hosed. When my son visited ASU and saw his future classmates working on their tans, the decision was made.
November 7th, 2019 at 10:54 AM ^
That’s only 4 years. You’ll get those biddies for life making bank at a 22% higher clip with a Michigan degree.
November 7th, 2019 at 12:33 PM ^
I don't think he'll be here long enough to earn a degree.
November 7th, 2019 at 1:18 PM ^
So is he on the cardale jones curriculum.
Before people jump in and say he got his degree at THEEEEE ohio, fuck, that is the equivalent of 1.5 semesters at Washtenaw Community College.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:22 AM ^
ASU - number one in innovation
UM - number one in everything else academic
November 7th, 2019 at 10:09 AM ^
One of the most exciting--and incredibly personable--high school players I've seen.
November 7th, 2019 at 10:53 AM ^
This kid’s personality has stardom written all over him. He’s tight with Todd too so that helps some as well
November 7th, 2019 at 10:22 AM ^
He had talked about taking his OV here in February and committing in the spring. Sounds like he is moving up his timeline.
November 7th, 2019 at 10:48 AM ^
Is it happening?
November 7th, 2019 at 10:49 AM ^
I doubt he ends up a Wolverine, but wow, What an addition he would be, even if it is only for a year.
