Winning begets recruiting begets winning.

Being a college coach isn't easy. You get done destroying your biggest rival in a battle of undefeated teams, and you don't even get a chance to take a breather before texting or calling recruits.

Yesterday proved last year was no fluke but a changing of the tide. The culture this staff has built, the players they develop to win at Michigan and head to and succeed in the NFL is not going unnoticed.

The win yesterday will help create wins for years.

Wow!! Now Harbaugh, shut down any talk of the NFL, keep this momentum going unlike last year! If you truly are a man of your words and you’re done looking into the NFL, say it publicly every time an article or sports caster brings your name up at an NFL opening!!

quell the rumors, keep momentum!!

LETS GO! I hope we can get Davis to commit soon. Let's get some early momentum for the 2024 class with some big pieces to build around. Got a big time OT, a Big time LB, let's get the big time QB, get Prieskorn to commit for a top TE, and start getting some DL

Reply to 1408. Maybe he doesn't fit the OSU style of play.

Hamilton is listed at 6-foot-4 on On3 but at 6-foot-6 on his Hudl page. Hamilton can play right tackle at the next level but isn’t overly athletic and lacks foot speed. However, he’s an absolute mauler when he lines up at right guard. Hamilton is at his best in the run game, and his film features several pancakes and clips where he just tosses dudes around. Hamilton is a bully in the trenches and will be a perfect fit at Michigan.

Not that I think it will ultimately matter, but this guy's offers aren't commensurate with his ranking:

Notice that there's no OSU offer.

I don't have full faith in the "Recruit Ohio!" idea that's flogged around here, but if Luke is really a Top 250 player, this is exactly the type of Ohioan Michigan should target.

if you listened to Dierdorf on the Rivals doc he said in his day about 25% of the roster were MI kids, 25% Chicago area and 50% OH guys.  the state of Ohio is still important to making a roster.  MI has a fair share of FBS level football players but not enough to sustain UofM, MSU & directionals.  OH will always be important for a pipeline.  Michigan will always have a tough time pulling top talent from SEC and Big12 fertile grounds of FL/LA/TX.

OL and RBs sure noticed this team. But after yesterday, all positional players want to play here. They had a converted WR playing like an All American and making big play after big play. OL paved OSU in 3rd and 4th quarter.

Welcome to UM big fella

How did OSU not offer this kid? He’s one of the top-5 prospects in the state of Ohio, but according to 247 they didn’t extend him an offer. That’s shocking to me.

Either way, it’ll be their loss.

This is just the beginning with recruiting. What happened yesterday will definitely help round out the 2023 class, but the 2024 class? Hoo boy that one has the chance to be special.

Michigan has results to legitimately sell to blue chips right now. Two year’s worth. They probably won’t ever put a class together like Georgia or Alabama can, but if Harbaugh keeps doing what he’s doing he can get really stinking close.

Seth and Brian have explained on the podcast that OSU recruits more for a pass blocking scheme. They'll take basically all tackles then put them at guard. Hamilton is more of a big boy mauler that isn't exactly what I'd imagine OSU is looking for

At "only" 209 in the composite he may not be high enough on the board for OSU to offer yet - for some reason I get the feel that Day relies on the recruiting rankings much more heavily than M and other teams....

Also OSU probably assumes that they can get many OH kids if the decide to push late in the process.  (Not suggesting this is the case with Mr. Hamilton - Welcome and Go Blue btw)
