3 star players!!!!!!!!!

Okay guys, it's time to put an end to all these 3 star, 4 star debates. I mean it is just getting annoying now. At West Virginia, RichRod had mostly 2 star recruits with a few 3 stars thrown into the mix. West virginia was not a powerhouse so RichRod had to make due. That was how it was then. Now at Michigan it is quite different. In the 2009 class, he recruited mostly 4 stars with a few 3 stars thrown into the mix. Even a 5 star! The difference is, RichRod is getting more highly rated players here then he got at West Virginia. He seemed to make due pretty well there, so why not assume he will here? People need to understand that Michigan will most likely never have a top 5 class with RichRod as the coach. We go after the should be 4 star players that are overlooked due to certain factors. People put such a great deal on stars yet RichRod could care less. He finds guys that will work their ass off to get better. He wants hungry players that want to win. MOTIVATION plays a huge role in this. He recruits quite a few players that get told they are too small or too slow. These players get told they are not good enough or talented enough. These players get overlooked and get offers from mid-grade schools like Pitt or Florida State. The big schools overlook them. RichRod is a man that believes every player deserves a chance. He gives these 3 stars a chance to prove themselves. These players are then MOTIVATED to outwork these 4 star players. A LOT of these 3 star players that RichRod goes after would be 4 star players if it wasn't because of certain factors. (Size, Smaller School, Injury, etc.) RichRod takes a chance on these players and I think many of them understand that. RichRod gave me a chance when everyone else told me I was no good. I'm going to show those schools I deserved an offer from them. Plus people with Barwis, we can EASILY develop these 3 stars. Fuck stars, give me kids that will work their ass off and will fit the system.

I read your first sentence and agreed and for that reason I didn't read the rest of your post.

... we've had this debate thirty times since I've been reading the board. I hope to God that Rich Rod goes at least 7-5 this year so that we can put the debate to bed because there is only so many times we can plow the same ground.

that occurs in between seasons. It like stretches out to near infinity! Coach Rod has only been the coach for one season yet it seems like we've been talking about this for five. If Einstein were alive today, he would postulate something to add to his theory of relativity, namely, 3t=NC^2 Where, 3= number of stars t= time NC^2= multiple national championships

So now that you put an end to the debate, does that mean it won't bring it up again? It just results in constant arguments with nobody agreeing and its been done 1.34 times per week for the past 2 years.

...the posts he's authored thus far as the generic "how many wins" "how many yards will Tate rush for" "t-shirts" "night games" "defensive recruiting" and "three stars" posts that first-timers normally indulge themselves with.

would be 4 star players if it wasn't because of certain factors. (Size, Speed, Strength, Quickness, Ability, Talent, etc.) Sorry, couldn't resist.

"People need to understand that Michigan will most likely never have a top 5 class with RichRod as the coach." If Michigan improves the way we all hope it will, then Rodriguez will start to get more five stars. Its as simple as that. I am certain he can find highly rated players who work hard. There is no reason to believe that he can't get a top five class in the future.

Prediction: Because of RR's renowned success with 3* players, at some point in the next 5 years we will have a top 5 class made up completely of 3* recruits.

if everyone keeps on bringing up? Every week someone writes a post saying how great 3 stars can be and then throws out White's or Hart's name to justify it. Stop talking about it and it will go away.
