2024 OT Blake Frazier names M to top five

Austin (TX) Vandegrift offensive tackle Blake Frazier named Michigan to his top five. He's a 4-star, the #15 offensive tackle, and #204 overall to the 247 Composite. Clemson, Florida, LSU, and Texas are the other four schools.

Frazier is the son of former Michigan lineman Steve Frazier, who started 17 games at guard/center in the late 1990s.

I Want ALL the recruits, but 3 specifically will make OSU heads explode even further.

we are in on the highest rated edge from Ohio, so not including him, but that will sting.

After pulling Marshall, would love to see Tatum the rn from Texas also commit…OSU fans can be twice as bitter about Marshall shunning them as we bring in 2 top 100 backs.

Add in the two top corners from Ohio (one from Glenville!) and they will lose it!

It will be interesting to see if the anticipated avalanche of high level recruits indeed happens. Blake and Prieskorn, from "the photo" are welcome to kick it all off.

I'm wondering if we don't see the OL spots rapidly fill up.

Andrew Sprague, one of the top OTs on Michigan's board is visiting this weekend: both Sam and Marich dropped CBs yesterday.

with JD announcing yesterday and the spring game with visitors today, you would think we might get a few commitments today.

light rain early but looks to be a front moving through.   gusts up to 40 mph.  let's see who can gun it in a windstorm.

Hey.. there are a lot of reasons to not choose Michigan if you are an OL prospect.

Consecutive Joe Moore award winners.   The pressure to three-peat and more is great and likely to grow.

S&C - requires commitment and effort.  A lot of time, early in the day, focused on team building.

Schemes - complex and intricate blocking - not necessarily easy to understand and execute.

Culture focused on team goals and achievement.

Academic rigor - Michigan is arguably the highest regarded university in the world playing football at a CFP level.

The list goes on….

So - if you are unsure about your ability playing at the highest level in college, with a coaching / S&C staff who expects your commitment and effort, running “Sunday” blocking schemes on Saturday, playing as a team, with world-class academics - then - Michigan is not the place for you.

However - if you are - and fit the above… spend time with the coaching staff…

Go Blue!

I didn't notice it in other threads, but there's A LOT of optimism for Andrew Sprague in the ballz recently. 6-8, 290 4 star. Sometimes I think about O-line recruiting 12-ish years ago and thank goodness that Harbaugh/Moore is in town.

You still have Easley and Anderson both top 250 OTs.

We are in on more top tackles than I can remember which is great.

It is typically easier to move guys inside than outside.

It always helps to have a legacy recruit. I am sure Blake will be on campus a few more times, if not already. Looks like it's Michigan vs the southern US schools. Maybe Steve can tell his son, don't mind the cooler late season weather. (He might play for a cold climate NFL team someday)
