No different than it was last year.  With that, there are some question marks that could tip the balance one way or the other.

-Nebraska.  Who will be the coach and can he turn them around quickly?

-Minnesota.  Not worried about it

-MSU.  How will Mel regroup after this year?

-PSU.  That'll be a tough one no matter what.

-Maryland. Not worried about it.

Based on this year it looks tough, but next year Purdue will lose O'Connell, Minnesota will lose Tanner Morgan and Mo Ibrahim, Maryland will likely be without Taulia, and PSU and OSU will be both starting new QBs

At PSU, at Maryland, then OSU is sure going to be a fun few games. Definitely going to have the same "Michigan hasn't played anyone" for the majority of the season.

How weird to see Purdue and Minnesota on our schedule.  Surprised we’ve got two in a row in Minneapolis (went there in 2020) but they have to balance the schedule somehow.  And Purdue hasn’t been to the big house since 2011.

For the first time since 2011 we will host our in-conference opponent of Purdue.

In that same span we have hosted Air Force, WMU, and Hawai’i twice.

4 home games in September, 1 in October, 2 in November. I know that's how non-conference cupcake scheduling works, but the best months of the season get less than half the home games.

Depending on how good Minnesota & Nebraska are next year, could easily go 8-0 next year.  Minnesota is gonna lose Ibrahim and Tanner Morgan, and a few OL so I don't see them being able to immediately reload.  Nebraska will take a few years to get back to competitive I'd imagine.

I don't know how I feel about the bye week being so late.  We'll play a full 8 games before what might be a decently tough November slate, so on one hand, nice to have the break before a rough 4 game slate.  On the other hand, a bye that late could do more to disrupt us than help us.

Playing Penn State & Maryland both on the road back-to-back right before Ohio State is less than ideal.

All in all, it seems like our schedule could either be really tough late, or pretty easy overall.  Just depends on what Minnesota, Nebraska, Maryland and Michigan State look like next year.

Geez those last 5 games of the season are a gauntlet

Now that I'm thinking about it, our B1G West games aren't bad. Minnesota and Purdue will be without O'Connell, Ibrahim, and Morgan then Nebraska is Nebraska

FB,

If I had to put money on things - that Michigan @ Penn State game on November 11th will be a White Out, and - played at night.

Thad references "no B1G night games in November"; however, I think that is "out the window".  Last year, Michigan hosted Indiana in November - and, that was a night game.

The most notable "other" B1G game the weekend of November 11th is the Bucks hosting Michigan State.
