EDIT: Well, the number debate with Terrence Robinson is over. He's wearing #8.

Gallon has indeed gotten a hold of that #10.

I see you have indeed forgotten to let go of the send button.
Sorry, I just couldn't resist.

I. Bell put on a lot of weight. He is up to 237 pounds, according to this roster.
T-Rob is No. 8 now. We were wondering when it was announced Gardner would be No. 7.
Stephen Hopkins is a big, big back. About 236 pounds.
LaLota is up to 263.
Thanks for posting.

definitely ticketed for ILB

Was there a post about Gardner taking #7? I must have missed it.
That was the first thing that I looked at... Henne's number, huh.
And Drew Henson's....
And Rick Leach's...
I really hope he molds himself as the successor to Leach. That would just be studly.
I really hope Turner can mold himself as the successor to Woodson.
First: The first thing I also notice was Bell's weight. On Rivals, Bell was listed at 209 as a HS senior. Let's hope those 30 pounds pay off.
Second: LaLota was already listed at 260 Lbs. on Rivals, so 263 really doesn't mean much.
Where I come from, a number that "means" more is the one that's more accurate and credible. Today's posting of Lalota's weight on the UM official website has got to be more accurate than what Rivals reported over a year ago.
by meaning more, i mean LaLota's 3 pound gain doesn't compare favorably to Bell adding 30.
A defensive lineman gaining three pounds isn't exactly astonishing.
I think what leftrare meant was that Lalota came into UM around two inches shorter and ten lbs lighter than he was advertised on Rivals
Lalota was listed at 260 on Rivals, but when he showed up to Michigan, he was only about 235-240.
So being 263 is a pretty big deal.
alot of the mods on Rivals had said that LaLota really came in weighing 235-240 pounds. Thats why when people ask about Lalota I tend to tell them that he is still at least a year away from competing for real playing time
when I posted this comment the 2 post's ahead of me were not there
I read somewhere that Hopkins was down to around 225. Can't verify that though.

Tate is still listed as #5 and Cameron Gordon has switched to #4. I thought it was a done deal Tate would wear #4 as well.
March 16th, 2010 at 12:36 PM ^
Looks like you are a proud new owner of a Cameron Gordon jersey!
/joke
Tate can still wear 4.
Of course.
However, when was the last time we had guys that started that wore the same number? I think if Gordon is ever going to start he's going to need to change that. I could be wrong though.
Kevin Grady and Ross Ryan shared #3 a few years back.
That's as close as I can find.

He was listed at 188 last year and it has him at 194 this year. Was he really 188 last year? I think he was smaller than that but I guess I'll have to wait until the 17th of April to see for myself how much bigger he is. DG at 204 is too lean to play this year...redshirt all the way.
March 16th, 2010 at 12:51 PM ^
After an entire summer with Barwis, that 204 could easily be 220-225. If he does redshirt, I doubt it will be because he is too lean.
There's not a chance in hell Tate was 188 last year, ime. He was about the same size as me (maybe a tiiiiny bit thicker) and I'm in the 165 range.
Im 5'10 and 165-170ish and Tate looked bigger than me. I would have to say most of his weight was from his lower half though, not his upper body since he said he never lifted in high school

i like that LaLota is from THE HUN SCHOOL!
March 16th, 2010 at 12:36 PM ^
not so much. Was hoping he'd be 220ish.

I am curious if all these weights were recent. Roh is listed at 249 still, when i read on here and in Michigan's insider mag that he is in the 260's? Also Denard is the same weight as last year? Some of his track pics he looks considerably bigger than last fall for sure.
I thought Roh was considerably smaller than 249 last season. Maybe 235? Am I mistaken?
I think he was listed in the high 230s. In reality, he was probably in the high 210s.
Yea i believe last year he ended the season at like 240 they said, and now he was at 255 i thought i read.
First of all, he was listed at 238.
Second, there's no way he was in the high 210s. You can't be 6'5" and hold up as a solid DE and be below 220 lbs. Also, he looked heavier than in the 210s. And his high school coach said he played in the low to mid-230s.

is a tad unsettling; this team is still quite young. Egads, and this team is more experienced than the last two? Goes to show just how inexperienced the '08 and '09 squads were; '10 for the win!
March 16th, 2010 at 12:54 PM ^
It will be nice to know a lot of our new playmakers will be around for years to come. Hopefully we have a breakout year and the younger guys have matured enough to improve our t/o margin drastically.

I just got chills when I saw Gardner's name finally on the roster.
(chills = massive erection)
That's... really creepy.
Just leave it at chills.
lol. Whats with the negs people.. Don't u see the homoerotic humor?
March 16th, 2010 at 12:54 PM ^
Those are the scout team guys that are basically practice dummies for the two-deep players?
Oh, gee, that's a really nice thing to say. Haven't you ever heard the adage, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all?
In fact what you said is mean, and adds no value to the conversation.
Birkett, is that you?
March 16th, 2010 at 12:54 PM ^
What the @#$% have they been feeding Gibbons? He's listed at 245. Not necessarily a problem, but notable, since he came in at just over 200, I think...
March 16th, 2010 at 12:56 PM ^
After Garrett Rivas
He played linebacker in HS.. Maybe he needs a position switch!
he came in around 230 not 200.
He must have bulked up a lot over his last year:
http://rivals.yahoo.com/michigan/football/recruiting/player-Brendan-Gib…
That's probably based on his junior-year weight.
