During the days of excellent defense and so so offense. Just the opposite now,

I wouldn't agree that the defense is so-so now.
January 19th, 2011 at 6:28 PM ^
In 2010 they weren't, but a year older with a coach that knows what he's doing, thay may be "so so". Anythings better than last year.

It is probably also safe to say that the offense will regress a bit with a scheme change, but there are going to be a lot more veterans on that side of the ball so they should adapt quickly.

Times have changed, 96' you have swanny with the cowboy hat on the sidelines, and now you have the beloved Ms Andrews

And even in the games we won, we had a terrible number of turnovers. I hope Denard can kick that habit of always holding the ball in his left hand when he runs.

Do you remember when Carr would lock players in the doghouse and throw them his soul-crushing glare when they would fumble? Clarence Williams??

Because I would love to see the Capitol One Bowl against Florida again

Sure, I'll have it up late tonight or early tomorrow.

Just search Wolverine Historian on YouTube he has everything.
January 19th, 2011 at 6:33 PM ^
Yes he does, but he does not have the full game like this.

I have been replaced. I'm taking my toys and going home.

Good call. That was one of my all-time favorite Michigan games.

Feel free to upload anything relevant to Hoke/Mattison/Borges as frequently as possible, I don't have anything to do until September.

Defense always wins this game. Glad to be getting back to a defensive focus.

OSU fans grumble that we only won because Shawn Springs slipped. They forget that they still held the lead after that, 9-7. We controlled the game in the second half.
This is one of my favorite games ever. An old-school Michigan-OSU game. Only one TD was scored all day.

Wow, it's surprising to look back at how much crappier television was not too long ago
January 19th, 2011 at 6:49 PM ^
We have 3D HD tv now... wait ten years and we'll be laughing about how bad HD television was while we're immersed in holograms of on the field action.

Am I the only person here who plans on watching the whole thing?
January 19th, 2011 at 6:50 PM ^
And honestly you should be ashamed of yourself for even having to ask that on this site.

Oh how I miss you...

"Pickle penetrated."
Okay, his name was "Fickell", but that's what I heard, and I'm sticking to it.
Best Keith Jackson line of the game: "The Michigan Wolverines defeat the Ohio State Buckeyes thirteen to nine."

Dude you are seriously making my day lately...
January 19th, 2011 at 8:17 PM ^
That OSU offense averaged 43 points a game that year. They were insanely good. And we held them to just 3 field goals. That still floors me to this day.
Our offensive plan in this game was just as boring and bland as it ever was...but it worked. After Streets scored, we just kept running up the middle over and over and over and OSU couldn't stop us.

oh how the tables have turned...sigh

i hadn't fully realized just how much i loved defense until the past couple seasons. shutting down the other team (esp. when it's the buckeyes) is just so damn sweet. it'll be nice to see that again.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:59 PM ^
Good lord our special teams was undisciplined.

I'm pretty sure we were deliberately committing those halo-infraction penalties. It was only a five-yard penalty back then.
