MBB can beat OSU tomorrow!
You know how I know? Because Brady Hoke is rubbing off on John Beilein:
"We've played so many of those good teams so far, that I don't know if (it matters if) you're playing a 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5," U-M coach John Beilein said. "It depends on the kids. I know I don't look at it any differently. I know they're a tremendous team. The rankings are the perception of their team. They certainly are worthy of a No. 1 ranking."
GO BLUE! BEAT OSU!

Go Blue! Beat Ohio State University!

Your good in my book. Part of being a true fan is sometimes being critical, wearing your heart on your sleeve. As a young kid, I cried when Michigan lost to Iowa when Harbaugh was "my" guy. I still hate to lose, and that stems from seeing years of near perfect seasons. I want to beat OSU, because losing wrecks the week for me when it happens.
February 2nd, 2011 at 10:45 PM ^
I'm the same way. I hate when Michigan loses. Ruins my mood. Usually, I'm calm and mellow about things. I always try to find a silver lining but when Michigan loses a football game, I can't. Now, I can when we lose a recruit because like Hoke says, "Michigan isn't about 1 player". That's why I try not to get too upset over rankings and where other recruits go because 1.) They're anywhere from 16-19 years old 2.) Quite a few highly touted recruits don't pan out.
It's good to let your true feelings known whether on a message board or with your friends/family in any case, quite frankly.

we get to play five guys...same as them...we can win
February 2nd, 2011 at 10:06 PM ^
but I always get demoralized when I think about Evan "2.2 Seconds" Turner.
Only watch if you don't know what I'm talking about and you're a glutton for ULTIMATE PAIN!

was so maid when he hit that shot. When Manny Harris hit the shot before that tears came down my face,i thought we had it won. Then we all know what occured after that. That made me hate ohio even more.I hope we are the team that gives ohio thier first loss this season.GO BLUE!!!
February 2nd, 2011 at 10:12 PM ^
Now why would you go and post something like this? Now i'm going to go to bed and not sleep well. :( When that happened, i realized, OSU has a curse on us. That curse shall be lifted tomorrow! :)

Things are turning around in Ann Arbor!

Showing off the algebra skills you learned in your senior engineering classes at Ohio State doesn't impress us, son.

does a mediocre basketball team going to play in Columbus tomorrow. No contest, OSU by 20
February 2nd, 2011 at 10:13 PM ^
My heart sank when I saw this on TV. Although it was not as bad as being 6 rows up on the goal line and watching Texas beat Michigan in the Rose Bowl.
February 2nd, 2011 at 10:17 PM ^
I was there. It sucked real hard. As soon as the ball left his hand I knew it was going in. I can't watch that to this day.
February 2nd, 2011 at 10:22 PM ^
saw it live and thankfully don't have to watch...it doesn't change my belief that we can beat them...we almost did once this year and we can
February 2nd, 2011 at 10:51 PM ^
I was in Virginia interviewing for a job and they had the game on a TV nearby. I watched the final 3 minutes with an OSU grad, and when they won he looked at me and said, "Well, everything is as it should be". My only victory was when he opened the door for me to walk out and I jokingly said, "Well, everything is as it should be".
February 3rd, 2011 at 1:46 AM ^
you got him good!!!
February 2nd, 2011 at 10:09 PM ^
We live in Ohio and my 18 year old son is wearing his Michigan gear to school tomorrow as he is CONVINCED we're gonna win. I told him I didn't see it happening and he said "why not Dad....why can't we win?"
Maybe he's right!. Go Blue!

I too was once young and naive.
February 2nd, 2011 at 10:29 PM ^
...but it certainly sounds like Fred Jackson is. It was nice of Fred to let JB borrow his thesaurus.
As for Michigan winning tomorrow, I think the chances are very slim, but you never know with a young team. I attended a game in Frieder's second year where Michigan upset #2 TSIO at Crisler. That team would finish 7-20. So, anything can happen. I just don't think "it" will tomorrow.
Of course, I hope I'm wrong.
February 2nd, 2011 at 10:57 PM ^
I believe the chances were slim for the 1969 football team when they beat tSIO. I see a turn around for all of Michigan athletics after that win over Sparty in bball. Not sure why, but I just have this gut feeling like good things are coming.
February 2nd, 2011 at 10:31 PM ^
Weirder things can, and have happened. Wouldn't that be something? That would be such a shot in the arm for the whole Ohio State and Michigan. I think it would carry over to football, I really do.

Really? OSU is undefeated and has a 3 game lead on everyone in the league. That is not unpredictable, thats called dominance son.
February 3rd, 2011 at 9:25 AM ^
3 game lead, including how many squeaking by in the end of the second half?

You must be his father, or I'm going to have to think of you as one of those shirtless axe wearing coke snorting queers owing to your use of "son"

I'm coming into this one expecting the worst. It worked last week in East Lansing.
I do think we'll win in State College next weekend.

We always have a large discrepency in fouls compared to our opponents. It is because of our style of offense: Lots of perimeter shooting and little offense down low because of our lack of an inside presence and slashers. I do agree though that we do not get the benefit of many of calls even when we are playing in AA.
February 3rd, 2011 at 12:07 AM ^
I sort of lost hope on a possible upset. I will be watching though!

1) C++ is hilarious
#include<mgoblog.h>
2) Ohio State barely beat Northwestern and a ton of other teams. Ohio State only beat Michigan by 4
It can be done
Hopefully someone beats those clowns soon, tired of seeing them go undefeated like this

Is anyone going to the game?
I'm thinking about heading down, but dont have tickets yet...
