JH went to the NFL, LM decided to stay where he is currently successful. Had we not contacted and met/discussed the opening with them you would all be screaming that we did not offer it to them.
Make up your minds, either you wanted us to attempt to land these guys or not. You can't demand we get one of them and then whine that they turned us down.
Maybe the past 3 years of how the previous coach was treated made a bigger impression on future coaches than you thought!

My order would have been Harbaugh, then Gruden or Miles, and then Hoke, but remember that Gene Chizik was 5-19 in two seasons at Iowa State before he came to Auburn. 5 and 19!!! People are complaining about Hoke who turned around two programs, and Chizik didn't even turn around Iowa State. Now look at where Gene Chizik is... I'm not saying Brady Hoke is the next Gene Chizik, but at least give him a chance so that he is not unanimously hated by the majority of Michigan fans before he even coaches a down.

Okay, so, FUCK everything? FIRE DB. I'll say it again, BRADY HOKE would NOT be considered if he didn't have Michigan ties. Michigan ties are supposed to be supplemental, i.e. "oh, he's a great and proven winning head coach AND he is a Michigan Man so he's our guy". Not "oh he has a losing record and has run some vaguely mediocre midmajors, but he went to Michigan, so, he's our guy."

The football program brings in 150+ million a year and they wont spend anything to get Harbaugh or miles here. thewolverinie.com reports that had we offered JH 5.2 mil as was falesly reported, he would be here...
