Dallas Crawford is Money
Two minutes to go, game tied - he throws a 73-yard TD strike to give South Fort Myers a 28-21 lead over local powerhouse Naples High on the road.
Two plays later, Crawford separates a Naples runner from the ball. South recovers. Ball game.
For the game, Crawford throws for 333 and 3 TDs, runs for 66, 3 pass breakups and about a dozen tackles. First time in history his team advances to the state quarterfinals. Now if he can just change Sammy Watkins mind.

He's going to be a good player. So um, who caught the 73 yd TD throw?

if some of you get your wish with RR. I am not saying one or even 30 recruits is a reason to keep a coach but this class and the last two currently on campus will likely be decimated with an RR departure. I know, I know....fans say that all the time, then the new coach comes in and convinces most players to stay. Don't see that happening here unless J.Harbaugh or other does what many said RR should have done, which is use the other coaches scheme for at least a year or two in order to play to his talents.

That would be Sammy Watkins

Crawford is good.

For some reason, whenever Magnus understates his excitement about a player I immediately become convinced that he will be a world beater... must be all the negativity

FWIW, I believe he said Crawford's the most exciting CB recruit he's seen (minus Demar) in a few years (which includes Cullen)

i hope you're right. i will be very optimistic next year if:
1. RR is back
2. Woolfolk plays safety
That would mean some of these young CBs look good.

You think that's good, wait till you see him play defense...
That's the baddest motherf***** I've ever seen in my life

Was the first thing that came to my mind as well. Figured the Freep had "discovered" (created) new violations for us.
This is far more pleasing to read.

Good for him. He's had a difficult year, and i'm glad he got the triumph last night.

I know Scout is not generous when it comes to Rodriguez recruits in general, but WTF?
November 27th, 2010 at 10:46 AM ^
as a football player, and team leader.

Can't wait to see the Freep article with allegations of him being played based on this, haha.

Our QB depth is not going anywhere for the next few years.
This is a good thing.

Dallas does it all, 300+ yards passing and a dozen tackles. I bet he can kick FG's too.

..for a HS player. Temper your expectations for this kid. I wish all of the great HS kids could come into college and mimic what they did in HS but haven you guys already learned that odds of that happening are pretty slim? What this team needs is a cohesive, consistent and healthy team. Hopefully Dallas will come in and help contribute to develop a cohesive and destructive defense especially at the CB position.

Agree. Best case scenario is if Crawford doesn't have to see the field next season.
November 27th, 2010 at 1:02 PM ^
... he will due to the severe lack of depth, imho.
And it's sad to see UM play exactly as I thought they would. Maybe they'll start to execute better and I'll feel better later but the nightmare continues.
