Antonio Kinard Eligibility
According to the front page of Rivals Kinard must pass a test before enrolling for summer classes. I do not have premium so my best guess is that we are looking at the same Ohio exam that delayed JT Turner last year. Here's hoping that Antonio gets the job done because I think he may be an asset at inside linebacker.... or Max Back?
I'm beginning to think there is more than one version of this test.....
Do OSU recruits ever have this issue with kids from Ohio? If not, is it because they have the luxury of not taking commits without these potential roadblocks, or is it just unluckiness 2 years in a row?
OSU doesn't have the stringent standards that Michigan has. They pretty much accept everyone.
OSU Admissions person: Just sign here football recruit #7.
Recruit #7: Sign...but I don't have any spray paint with me.
OSU Admissions person: Just use this (holds out pencil).
Recruit #7: (grips pencil, stares at it strangely, then makes a scratchy X on paper).
OSU Admissions person: Welcome to OSU.
I bet if you made an MSPaint of this in comic form it would be funny.
such a signature would be perfectly valid. It only matter who makes the mark, not what the mark represents.
Kinnard = Redshirt
but Kinard is a redshirt possibility.
WOW i really want to just leave work right now and go play tecmo bowl after seeing ur avatar. could careless about kinnard and his redshirt or lack thereof.
my guess, jbibiza, is that you're right - it is the ohio exam that delayed JT Turner last year. but i can't confirm since i also don't have premium access. the reason it is probably highlighted is that other recruits may have already passed it and because kinard had had some academic difficulties. however, every student in ohio has to pass it in order to graduate.
It is the same test that set back Turner last year. The test is meant to ensure that students are proficient in several areas such as math, writing and science, and all graduating Ohio students are required to take it. Kinard failed it his first time around and thus must pass it before he can enroll in college.
negged you for an academic related topic included "hear's hoping..."
Are you the Ohio test grader as well?
Negged* you for negging a poster on grammar/spelling while using the phrase "academic related topic."
Either this phrase:
(1) uses two adjectives, each modifying "topic," in which case there should be a comma separating the adjectives;
(2) uses "academic" to modify "related," in which case the adverbial form should be used; or
(3) uses "academic-related" to generate a new, single adjective requiring a hyphen.
*Only teasing, I didn't neg you.
I don't think there is any grand conspiracy here, but I do think that there may be one or two test administrators who allow their personal feelings toward recruits headed for Michigan to influence the interpretation of test answers or the "timely manner" in which a student's paperwork is processed. It's not like they would be penalized if they were caught.
Gimme a break dude. You dont know what you're talking about. If all you're going to offer is lame fauz conspiracies, dont post it.
your routine is old and doesnt offer anything.
Jamie is from Toledo. He's in on it.
Everyone get back into the bunker.
Obligatory YouTube video posted in all threads discussing Kinard.
