It takes a special kind of stupid to keep talking after you know you are being filmed.

Actually, while I hate to defend a former Spartan, Malik was correct on one thing...
Article 9, Section 7, Line 4, of the U.S. Tax Code (Revised 2011) does in fact state that, "If an individual pays more than $1,000,000 in taxes during any given fiscal year, individual shall obtain an exclusive, non-transferable right to call all female police officers (regardless of jurisdiction) a "bitch," during that and the subsequent fiscal year. The individual cannot be arrested for said offense."

His conflation of money with the thought that he is better than those two cops is pretty good evidence that he IS a child.

If an African-American man calls another African-American man "n*gga" as MM did in the video, are those "fighting words" as the police officer said? Undoubtedly, if a caucasian had uttered those words, that's a much clearer case. This is a serious question, and I suppose the answer might be dictated by the context in which the word is uttered.

I have friends and work with many people of differing backgrounds but only came across this exact subject once. Hopefully this subject is not too taboo to have appropriate discussion about.
Waiting tables while in college, a server I worked with used the word in a derogatory way when she got a bad tip from a family she was waiting on. She said it with a hard "r" on the end. I was surprised to hear it and asked her about it. She responded, "There are black people and there are n******. Those people were n******." I was living in TN at the time, so it could be regional.
Disclaimer: I am a white male.

Black people vs niggas is a routine that Chris Rock used to do, so it's not new or regional.

against Bennett (and Jefferson) after watching him start all of the nonsense that happened at the end of the Jags-Seahawks game last week, I'll admit that. Didnt care for him trying to take out the Jags C at his knees. He doesnt belong lumped in with Richardson and Clark, and neither does Jefferson.

"..where in a nutshell he claims he was unlawfully detained. Whether true or not,"
There is a video. Pretty sure it was not true and at least not for the 'reasons' he had claimed. I think the stunt he tried to pull is worse than someone getting pulled over with some weed. But that's just my opinion.

But was Malik the child? That changes things.

I wish he had followed his mom's advice and come to Ann Arbor to get away from the bad influences in his life. It's impossible to know how he would have turned out had he gone blue, but I have to think things would have been better for him (at least off the field)...
December 14th, 2017 at 1:50 AM ^
I don't know. MSU improved noticeably once he was off of the roster. It wasn't all him, but... it was probably partly him.
At this point I don't see any reason to believe that he would have somehow developed quality character under Harbaugh any more than under Dantonio.

As I recall she took a strong dislike to him and was upset that Dantonio was recruiting Malik behind her back. She took offense to something he said in a recruiting visit which it seems was reinforced by the players he met on campus. He could party without worrying about classwork.
Usually when you hear a parent wanting to get their child away from bad influences, they are talking about people in their own neighborhood. Not college students.

If she was a white woman, maybe. But if she was a white man saying stuff like that, she'd be Sean Hannity. And she would be one of Fox News' most popular personalities
