MGoVideo survey
*edit- nevermind. It will be free. You can always donate though.
Here's a test clip - http://stream.mgovideo.com/
requires Chrome/Firefox 3.6/Safari 4.0
will _not_ work unless you have one of those browsers.
Too many videos are available elsewhere to justify paying a monthly fee.
i can imagine wanting to see a bit or piece of a game here or there but not for $60/yr. if it was part of a package subscription of mgoblog that also came with an em0 filter and a "force users to google their question before posting it on the board" i would.
it would be $5/month, not 60. We could probably drop it down to $3/month, but it would limit it to 15 full game streams.
i just meant $5/month = $60/yr
not $5 per stream. I think that reflects the costs to host, not download.
Yeah, I would probably pay $5 a month for access to that, BUT, I would want the ability to pay a month at a time. Much of the year, I'm not going to touch it.
it would be month to month, yeah.
no yearly pricing.
Enjoy your cease and desist from Michigan, the Big10, ABC, ESPN, and the BTN.
... it's one thing to violate copyright "for free." Another thing entirely to do so "for $$$."
You just need to find a good IP litigator who will work for $5/mo.
The internet prefers free/forever.
Only if it's on a month-by-month basis. I'd only pay for football.
Doesn't matter to me, I'm trying to register seeing my old account was removed for not using and can't even register, keep getting a not found when i click to confirm.
I just manually confirmed your account. Not sure what the deal was. Maybe it had something to do with your osu.edu email address?
I wouldn't pay for it. Having the whole game on a torrent is a better way to go. The only advantage of a streaming site is that you can watch it if you are bored at work.
Is it possible to post whole games on youtube?
youtube has a 10 minute limit.
That's why you can divide a game into 20-25 10-minute parts.
I promise I will when we beat OSU. Maybe not UMass.
Would the games be streamed live or just available for replay at some later date? Seems more people (especially out of state and viewing areas) would pay if it were live, though it probably violates some broadcasting rules somewhere.
I couldn't get the test stream to work. I use FF 3.6.3. And if it's football season, and live streams, I would totally pay 5$. Again, as long as no commitment is required.
There are a few PC's still out there.
He can't include IE because IE is behind the times. IE9 will be inherently included.
The site will remain free. I'll just bear the hosting costs myself.
You've kicked me right in my moral center!
That's just like being kicked in the nuts, only without the clenching ab muscles for the next half hour.
The stream worked well, thank you. Good selection btw.
Just wish they would show stuff for free.
HTML5 FTW
wow. love the stream.
My sound wasn't in sync with the video, it was a little ahead of it. But I shouldn't be complaining, it's certainly better than nothing!
just out of curiosity (to help get a better idea of what the minimum system requirements recommended from now on should be); how fast is your computer?
What browser are you running?
