You dick!

I point out "concern trolling" to call out such people as the assholes that they are and suddenly there is a slight but measurable uptick in the phenomenon. That sounds about right - I should have known better than to bitch about a few things in the Airing Of Grievances thread.

I was actually thinking about starting a mailbag type (IMO) thread asking you a few questions about camp.
The media is so obsessed with Harbaugh, no one ever asks the questions about the guys on the team that we don't hear about on a week to week basis.
- How is Peters development coming?
- Can McDoom catch enough to have a pass catching role from the slot?
- Who has the lead on replacing Butt? ...Bunting? ...McKeon? ...Wheatley? (I think Asiasi has a lock on the AJ Williams jumbo TE spot - I don't see him as the pass catching TE (or Wheatley to be honest))
- Good news on Ron Johnson...how's Carlo Kemp? Will he be in the Ron Johnson/Chase Winovich race to replace Taco?
- Is Hudson still playing S or have they moved him to the Peppers role?

1) I forgot to add a note on Peters. He is a natural, very smooth, and does not get happy feet in the pocket. He is poised and a quick study. His mechanics are not an issue. He needs to get stronger and learn to read complex defenses. I am not sure he is ready to push Speight yet, but we will find out in the spring.
2) McDoom...surprised we didn't throw to him more this year. Late in the season he had plenty practice reps in the passing game. When Perry was suspended I thought we would see more of McDoom downfield.
3) Asiasi and Wheatley, however Bunting received a lot of reps and PT afte his injury. Don't count out McKeon.
4) Kemp/Uche/Mbem-Bosse will battling to find the field. Hudson may get the first shot at Viper. Winovich and Gary on the ends. Johnson behind Gary.
5) Hudson will likely get the first look at Viper.
I should mention Metullus too. Had a great XMas camp.

I'm not expecting you to answer that (actually...please don't). But that's just about everyone.
I feel like Davis and Nordin are the only to we didn't see and/or you haven't given an update about.
Sounds like the future is BRIGHT!

That is a damn strong statement about next year's D...if it is anywhere close to this year then this team will be right back in the thick of things.
Only real concerns are OT, WR (mostly bec. of blocking. The two starters were strong blockers) and PK (think games may be closer so field goal kicking will be critical).

With the WR talent currently on the roster + the incoming recruits...its safe to say that Perry has really fked himself with his current legal situation. Hopefully its all smoke and not fire, but it certainly puts him well behind the others to say the least, regardless of the legal outcome. Too bad because he has ton of talent as a go to possession WR.

How scary is it that Mr. Yost "has been thinking about" MGoShit he doesn't even post? My God what a loser.

How is Speight's health? We have not heard anything in a while.
No news is good news?

Not quite 100%.

However, that's not what I was saying.
I was saying that I don't see Asiasi has the flexed TE/WR combo type player. I don't see Wheatley in that role either.
Asiasi will definitely be better than AJ Williams. My point is he'll be the blocking TE who will catch some passes. I want to know who will be the next TE/WR.
IMO that's Bunting, McKeon or Eubanks.

A bust? That's kind of harsh, don't you think? He came here as a QB and switched positions as a freshman. He's never played TE before, or anything other than QB. He's going against highly rated kids that have played TE the entire lives. Give the kid a chance. Just because he hasn't seen the field doesn't mean he's a bust.

I really liked the couple of carries that Kingston Davis got last year. He did NOT go down on first contact, iirc. I hope he makes the rotation somehow.
Also, I think I forgot about McKeon because Asiasi and Wheatley. McKeon was and EE, iirc and he's tall also iirc. Assuming he'd be more of a receiving TE as opposed to big blocking TE???

I'm seeing 1 game with 2 carries for 17 yds. ??? Wasn't against Hawaii, but 2nd or 3rd game of the year. edit...looks like UCF.

I already have 2016 regular season as 'last year' my bad.
My point remains, potential tacklers seemed to bounce of him. I think he's going to fit in just fine with this team.

Thanks for joining and making that your first post. I missed what he was saying.

Don't you understand how loaded the TE depth chart is? I remember a time when the TE depth chart was
1. Kevin Koger
2. ????
I would certainly expect Wheatley, Asiasi, McKeon, & Bunting to be ahead of a RS Fr converted QB-to-TE on the depth chart at this point. I'd be a little surprised if Gentry got much action other than goal line jump passes for another year or two

Haven't heard anything about Nick Eubanks. I know he needed to add weight, but he was a relatively highly ranked prospect. How will he ever find PT with all of the TE's on the roster?
