Last week was a tale of two halves; this week was pretty uniform.
Esprit de corps remains intact.
Character. Cruelty.

I agree Lampuki. Fuck Durkin. I honestly had a bad gut feeling about the guy last year right off the bat. Then the team had 3 shutouts and I kind of started to like him. Then I witnessed who he really was shortly thereafter and his incompetence against the suckeyes. Will forever dislike said person.

Here is a quote from Maryland board:
Harbaugh had no mercy. He swept the leg.

Under RichRod and Hoke, it seemed every game against a crappy team came down to the final possession. None of that crap this year. Love this!!!!

Need to learn to hold the edges before The Game or they're gonna gash us again.

How did the game with Illinois go today? Did you have time to watch it, in between posting like crazy to try and shore up your points on a Michigan message board?
oh, I forgot. You alone predicted the moral victory, Dantonio is formidable, and MSU is elite.

I think this is a valid concern, even if it's minor. It happened far less often in the second half, though, so there's that.
November 5th, 2016 at 7:02 PM ^
Didn't see most of the second half so thats good to hear.
November 5th, 2016 at 7:16 PM ^
From the perspective of a complete layman, it definitely looked like Brown made some adjustments.
That's not to say Maryland didn't gash us with big plays in the second half from time to time, because they did. It just seemed that most of those were more on Maryland players being legitimately good, not that we were doing a lot of things wrong.

Biggest development is increasingly potent offense. Until the end of the B1G at least, it will be very difficult for any team to outscore Michigan. Very difficult.
November 5th, 2016 at 9:09 PM ^
There may have been adjustments, but attacking the edges is virtually the only way any team has successfully gained yards on us this year, except for some RPS plays by MSU and those slants by Colorado. Edge problems have appeared against UCF, MSU, and even Illinois, among other teams.
And they were a constant feature here. It is not necessarily the end of the world, but it's an issue, especially given that Curtis Samuel is well-suited to attacking those same edges himself.

Swazi relax...

2 things:
1. I'm thankful for Jim Harbaugh and boring victories week after week.
2. I'm thankful for teams kicking field goals down 45-0 as some sort of moral victory.

On your first point, I do find the relative lack of real stress I've had over the course of the season to date kind of refreshing. By the 2nd quarter, I could just sit down. I could have done that in the first quarter really, but my kids wouldn't get off the couch. It was a relaxing Saturday that passed with very little worry and I enjoy that. It's nice to have some high expectations again too - I was monentarily peeved about the Maryland FG, but just momentarily.

The only time I've been truly nervous all season is the first half of the Colorado game. Even after State scored the first touchdown last week, I was confident we would score a lot of points. This is a great team, and we should all be savoring these wins.
