Understood that this was the original context behind that, but the whole purpose behind the meme was trolling. So regardless of the context, the reversal is quite funny to us who did not have a team in either the NBA Finals or the World Series. Best to just own it.

I would also remind everyone a few things (not that you give two shits but it makes me feel better so here goes)

1. Lebron does not speak for the entire city.  His party was his alone and nether I, my wife or anyone I know of had any say in his theme choice.

2. It made me cringe too.  Hell, a buddy of mine called me Tuesday morning to tell me when and where the victory parade was going to be held and I hung up on him.

3. Basketball is not baseball.  Different sports, different players, different everything

4. We still have to endure the Browns so for God's sake you'd think you guys would have at least some pity on us.

5. It was a FANASTIC World Series.  I will freely admidt I was one of the "fair weather fans" for the Indians this year.  Two months ago I couldnt have named two players and woudn't have been able to pick them out of a line up.  I had lost almost total interest in the sport to be honest.  But this series definitely pulled me back in and I can say for certain I'll be going to games next year, will buy some Tribe gear and will follow the team again like I did in the 90's.

Karma bit Cleveland because Lebron was taunting the Warriors.  The 3-1 gods turned the table for tempting fate.

I am not a fan of Lebron so I hope he gets tagged with this and my thinking begins trending.

Edit: Damn.  Beaten to the punch.  Old and slow is a bitch.

if you have the chance today; which is the Cubs flagship station. I'm not a Cubs fan, but it's pretty cool to hear their radio personalities try to say "home of the World Champion Chicago Cubs". They can barely get those words out.  Good for them.

Yes, my Cubbies won, and I'm beside myself, but I think Maddon could've used some advice from Harbaugh in the last two games.  I don't understand the short (understatement) leashes on the starting pitchers.  I can't fathom burning your closer in a 5-7 run game.  I hate the bunt call with a free swinger who isn't the best contact guy.  And, if you're going in with a gameplan not to bring in Lester or Chapman into a dirty inning, why the Hell would you do just that?

I do have to give Joe infinite props for activating and playing Schwarber.  I second guessed that decision and I don't know if any other coach would've had the stones to do it, but, wow, did that work out well!?!  I also have to give Tito a lot of credit.  Hell of a coach and a class act.

This is the first major championship that I could truly enjoy, immediately after it happened.  I was 14 in '97, so fandom wasn't fully ingrained, yet.  Even though we knew we were champs, we had to wait on the AP; still waiting on the Coaches.  I'm hopeful that, come January, I'll be commenting about my second.

WD, where can I find the maize and blue glove that Harbaugh had?
