I've always wondered why...if you challenge a spot, and the spot IS wrong, but it doesn't change the outcome. Why don't you win your challenge?

I thought it was a first down. I did not think the entire ball was over that yard line.

It should've been moved a half yard and still a first down.

I think that happens more often than we notice. If you're challeging the spot, then why does the result matter? Just get the spot right and whatever the outcome...is the outcome.
