OMFG Taylor Mays 40 Time
just wow. I hope this was a glitch. http://www.steelersdepot.com/2010-nfl-combine-results-defensive-backs/
It doesn't get much better than 4.24.
We were so close for him... damn it, things would've been so much different with him at safety
BEST. AVATAR. OF. ALL. TIME.
Dude is a BEAST.
Don't give us the info. Make us work for it.
The extra exercise is going to help you shave a tenth of a second off your 40-click dash time.
Should have stopped by my Taylor Mays 40 yard post Magnus, it is the best of the three. We've got beer, brats, and ladies at my MGoBoard post!
Ouch, pwned. You are the Emily Post of the MGoBoard.
40 times joe haden from florida ran a 4.57 and 4.6... i think someone needs to update the big board at florida...
look suspect to me...
You are supposed to shed atleast .25 off your 40, duh. In HS basketball you're supposed to add a few inches to yourself if you are a starter.
5-7 = 5-10.. 6'4 = 6'7
4.4 40 = 4.15 40
If true, that would equal the fastest time ever at the combine...Chris Johnson ran that a few years ago, and shot up the draft board.
*Wide eyed emoticon*
Give that man a urine test stat.
Approaching light speed.
a 4.59 and looked like he was moving backwards compared to Mays. Hopefully he can improve on that a bit at Michigan's pro day to move him up the boards.
improve at the pro day he has just placed himself into at least the 4th round or later with that time...
Technically, I think he would be moving backwards relative to Mays, at those speeds...
This was almost exactly what I expected him to run, which was a 4.58 or a 4.59. He has decent football speed, but he's not a blazer. It's telling that he's been talking so much about playing safety lately; it's probably something that teams have brought up to him.
I give this 40 time a 5 FAKE out of 5.
I just refuse to believe he ran faster than Jacoby Ford.
I take it back if his second run is even close
Morgan Trent ran a 4.18...
shuttle
Edit: nevermind, I get it.
Mays is basically a faster version of Ernest Shazor. When he shows up at the right spot he usually crushes people, but he is frequently out of position. He also tends to go for kill shots every time instead of playing the ball.
is 4.34
How many others think that Mays's blazing speed will allow him to make as many tackles from behind as he makes head-on? As previously stated, the man tends to end up like the innocent bystander - wrong place, wrong time.
So I guess he gets out of position even faster than I would have thought.
Stanford put 55 up on USC, mostly by running between the tackles, and often by running over Mays. His read/react was sloooow -- especially for the fastest guy on the field.
and now that the time is official it is 4.43
I could have run a 4.43...30 yeard dash.
The kid is a flat out beast, if a NFL coach teaches him better technique watch out.
