Big Chill Seating Chart
I think everyone (especially Yost ticket holders) will be happy:
HT: MHN-The Cold War II: Electric Boogaloo seating chart and ticket info
There is no bad seat.
I'm not sure about that. Ice area field area. Row 90 up in a corner looking down on a much smaller sized area doesn't sound like fun to me.
Having sat both in row 90 and row A 50 yard line, I prefer the former. This may be even worse for hockey with the boards and all...
some seats on the field. Maybe stick the student section in both endzones.
Except then none of them would be able to see any of the game... It's one of the few down-sides to playing the game in a football stadium.
Hockey student ticket holders better get priority over regular students. Sections 26 and on are going to be really far away from the ice. I was at the Culvers Classic with endzone corner seats and I could barely follow the puck. In essance, I hope my tickets will be in section 25, rows 30 and below.
Wait, so do the "Hockey Season Ticket Holder Seating" sections include students, or are we stuck in the corner? That would really piss me off.
it sounds like "hockey season ticket holder seating" is reserved for the townies that own tickets and not students, if this is true than i call bullshit. I will be so pissed off we don't get priority in the student section or at least get put with the townies. By reading Brian's post, the 4 state students that show up will be at the goal line and closer to the field than Michigan's 1500 students (or whatever it is) that show up to every game
should be similar to football. South end zone, with half of them up by the scoreboard.....
Really hope no one sharts their seating at the Big Chill at the Big House. That'd be pretty miserable.
The seating is shart worthy if the hockey student section is stuck in the corner with kids who are waiting for the halftime show and don't demand candy from Tunison.
I better be included in "Hockey Season Ticket Holders". I will be very angry if I am shunned over into the corner with the rest of the students, no matter what the row.
Does anybody with better estimation skills than me know about how many seats are covered for season tickets? Should it be enough to cover the students and the regulars (Probably on opposite sides).
And also, why is the MSU allotment so good? Wisconsin didn't give us anything, so why do we have to give MSU anything, much less such relatively nice seats?
Stick them in 11-13 where they belong...
MSU gave us shit for tickets too...stuck the Michigan allotment in the boonies. I say screw them and stick them right up next to the jumbotron.
Those are actually pretty crappy seating locations. Sticking them in the endzone actually probably gives them the best seats. In the corner, they're going to have a weird angle on the ice. It also (presumably) puts them behind their band, so there's only going to be one corner of Sparty sound to deal with.
Leave the corner for all of the students who will only care about hockey one day a year.
Not all students that don't have hockey season tickets don't care about the team.
I'm a diehard hoops fan - this is my 5th year at Crisler. Unfortunately my wallet makes me choose between hoops and hockey. Doesn't mean I don't care about hockey and don't know every in and out there is to know about Yost.
However, with that said you chose bball over hockey. I, on the other hand have the same budget constraints, chose hockey. Those that are multiple year hockey season ticket holders should have priority over those who do not buy hockey student season tickets.
Exactly
I agree completely. But I don't think that means I only care about hockey once a year.
You might want to edit your thread title.
Excellent move making the season ticket seats higher up in the bowl. Having gone to both the Cold War and the Camp Randall game, no one is seeing anything until about row 20 or 25 at the lowest. They probably could have gone a little bit higher, but still, it shows someone did their homework.
The only problem that I see is due to the shallow rise of the bleachers in the bowl. Those in lower level end zone seats will have a tough view over the boards. I was at Camp Randall, 30 rows up in the south endzone, and you couldn't see the ice from the boards to about 5 feet in front of the net. Still plenty good and a hell of a good time, but tough view for that chunk of ice.
The one thing working in Michigan's advantage vs. Camp Randall, though, is that there's a hell of a lot more of a drop from Row A to the field level. I was in the 18th row or so in the endzone in Madison, and as I recall, the field level in relation to the seating was similar to what Michigan Stadium had before the field was dropped in '91. You could just walk out of the aisleway onto field level. Which is why they didn't even sell the bottom sections.
With this game, essentially, the top of the glass will be even with about row 2 or 3. For sight lines, that's pretty huge.
tickets. will. be. purchased.
Unfortunately to sell out the Big House for this there will have to be almost as many Sparty fans there as UofM fans. I doubt they will be able to fill all the student section seats. Its the weekend before exams start and itll be too cold for alot of students. I assume they will require students to go pick up their ticket by a certain time. After that theyll sell unclaimed student seats tickets to the public.
Tix for sale April 21st.. Too bad I can't pick some up while i'm already up there for the Spring Game.
That's an awful lot of student seating. I can't imagine we'll fill that whole section up with students.
by reading brian's post, it sounds like state's 4 students that will show up will be in the overflow of 2 and 3 which will be at a goal line...and Michigan's 1000 or whatever the number is students that show up to the hockey games will be put in the corner with a weird angle and roughly 25 yards from the actual ice...that just seems dumb

Does anyone know which directions the seat numbers go in Section 22 at Michigan Stadium? Which is closer to the 50yd line/center ice--seat 15 or seat 33?
