Brown was at least a top 6 projected pick; Thon was never projected as a lottery pick and his stock was falling fast due in part to rumors about his age. Now, that may have been smoke blowing from the Bucks camp, but I doubt it. If they really wanted him, they could have easily traded down to get him.

I don't think he's going to be lackluster. I think MSU did a great job of hiding his defensive deficiencies in college, and that the offense and system bended itself to maximize his output and effectiveness.  NBA teams aren't going to do either to the same extent, if at all.

To his credit, he had a great shooting season and proved to be a triple double threat and arguably the most well-rounded player in the league.  I just think that may have been as good as it gets.

Apparently OKC traded Ibaka to the Magic... what does that mean?

Edit: Oladipo is going to OKC along with Sabonis for Ibaka. Oh shit. Durant must be gone right?

Not necessarily. I thought Ibaka was a shell of himself in the playoffs, at least in the games I saw (which admittedly was not all of the Thunder games).

Edit: Thunder also getting Ilyasova (who was with the Pistons for the first part of this season).

Very excited to see what Brandon Ingram can do with a non-Byron Scott coach and a decent young nucleus of D'Angelo, Julius Randle, Clarkson and Nance.  It'll take a few years for the Death Star to become fully operational but I trust Mitch Kupchak to make the right moves.

And the two best available players on Chad Ford's board are a PG and PF, the Pistons biggest areas to upgrade.

Should we be hoping to land Dejounte Murray (PG, Washington) or Henry Ellenson (PF, Marquette)?  I've never heard or seen them play.
