Here's a recap of the championships that were won by Michigan teams over the course of this 2015-16 season.
Sport | Championship |
M Cross Country | B1G Champions, NCAA Regional Champions |
W Cross Country | NCAA Regional Champions |
Football | Citrus Bowl Champions |

M Swim & Dive | B1G Champions |
W Track & Field | B1G Indoor Champions, B1G Outdoor Champions |

W Tennis | NCAA Regional Champions |
Other teams with some notable highlights (please let me know if I'm forgetting anything)-
- W Golf makes the cut for the NCAA Regionals as a 13 seed and upsets a bunch of teams to advance to the NCAA Championships for the second time in program history.
- M Soccer beats MSU for the second straight season to keep the Big Bear Trophy in Ann Arbor.
- Hockey wins their second straight GLI, the 6th time Michigan has won the holiday tournament in the last 9 times it has been contested.
- Volleyball wins for the first time ever at Rec Hall, upsetting Penn State.
- Hockey exorcises demons against PSU, goes 5-0 against them.
- M Tennis rebounds from 7-17 season and posts 21-8 record under second-year head coach, Adam Steinberg. The most wins by the program in over 25 years.
- Under second year head coach Dr. Marcelo Leonardi, Water Polo becomes the first team East of the Rocky Mountains in the history of the sport to advance to the NCAA Final Four.
- Sierra Romero becomes the first player in the history of softball to record 300 hits, 300 RBI and 300 runs. She won the Heisman trophy of college softball and became the only 4-time NFCA All-American in program history.
- Last but certainly not least, Carol Hutchins became the winningest coach in the history of softball back in April.
My personal favorite was the Kam Chatman shot to beat Indiana. I'll remember that forever. Unfortunately Michigan has been burned quite a bit by the buzzer beater in my lifetime, so to finally get one go our way was amazing. And it coming against that team and putting us into the NCAA Tournament certainly made the celebration even more wild.
Feel free to share favorite moment(s).
Not only has the athletic season wrapped up, but the Adidas era has ended. The next time you see a Michigan athlete take the field-
Is it August yet?
Never heard of him.

Here's a factoid: Softball won the B1G every single season during the Adidas contract. In fact, the streak began during the final season with Nike back in 2008.
Cliff Clavin. He's been in every Pixar movie ever, little known fact.
Damn that's a great trivia fact. Thanks for that! (Obviously you mean John Ratzenberger, but I got you)

I wonder if the M Den will take pre-orders. I have about 1000 in my beer fund to purchase new gear. It starts with a Bo style hat.
Love these hats, but how easily can you bend the bill on them? I can not wear flat bill hats. Not my style and it just looks silly on me.
No more Adidas

Wait pull what out?
Dude, you got a fucking dart in your neck man.
I always hated the Adidas football uniforms. From the first year that they were brought in, they were odd fitting...odd looking. Numbers looked too big, Stupid piping going around the back of the road jerseys. Just odd looking crap. Adidas and the losses associated with the Adidas Error will not be missed.

Until they do.
Then we'll all be like . . . "Why aren't we UA? UA is much better, man."

You need to read Brandon's Lasting Lessons.
Brandon blaming Adidas for designs people didn't like, when he was the one behind it.
Another one his lies.
What the hell is that emoji doing? It looks like he's wanking off.
Oh, it's a Brandon post. Highly appropriate then.
Carry on.
Bring on the days of "Matte Chrome" and pretending a former Bulls player gives a damn about Michigan.
I guess that's selfless. I was wrong. All hail the great Nike god.
goddess.
^^^True mythology^^^

It does not matter if a former Bulls player gives a damn about Michigan by slapping a Jumpman logo on our football unis.
What matters is that elite recruits give a damn. So I'm all for it.
Sing it with me: "I used her, she used me, but neither one cared . . . "
