Let's petition for a Michigan Hover Helmet (coolest thing you'll see today)
Most of you have probably never heard of a hover helmet before but my colleague at the office has one for his team, BYU (living in Provo, I had alot of fun after last years beatdown). They are so cool!!! They currently don't sell any Michigan ones. In fact the only B10 team they sell is...Maryland
Check out the website and then email the company. I'll make it so easy for everyone:
Website - hoverhelmets.com
Email - [email protected]
Subject Line - Michigan Wolverine Helmet!
What to say - Please make a Michigan Wolverine hover helmet! We have the largest fanbase in the world and you would sell thousands of these! Pretty please!
Okay, that's pretty cool
I'll admit, I was ready to neg this thinking it was some hoverboard helmet to wear while your board catches fire and you faceplant and lose all your teeth.
But this is damn cool. I want one.
I'd order a Michigan-themed one of those too...
I need one for my office. Thanks for giving me one more UM product to spend my money one... at least, once it exists.
I know right? My office is right across the hall from the BYU fan...who am I kidding, everyone in my office is a BYU fan...so he will have a perfect view of it always
excellent! Hopefully they will get hundreds of emails and see the light...
It's hard to respect a company that did not create a Michigan one yet. SO MANY FANS.
But it is pretty sweet.
I wonder if there is some licensing issue. We can't be the easiest school to work with for that kind of stuff.
Their offering is really weird. Most of the SEC, some random power 5 schools, and Boise State and Marshall. No Ohio State, no Notre Dame, no Texas, no Michigan. I'm sure they've tried.
but it comes with a collection of hippie lettuce stickers.

All the ones I saw were $99, plus you can't put a price on your fandom bro
and put that book on top of $200 cash.
They must have a different definition of the term "how does it work":
The Hover Helmet patented design begins with a four inch, mini-football helmet. We work with each team to ensure our helmets feature the latest helmet artwork. LED lighting located in the base of the stand illuminates the helmet. Once plugged in, your helmet will hover and rotate indefinitely!
That sounds more like "what it is". As an engineer I need to know how it works, dammit!
our helmets feature the latest helmet artwork
How the hell do they keep up with the minutely changes from Oregon!
If Oregon has any sense, they have a "flagship" helmet and jersey design for this kind of static stuff.
I suppose Alabama has a number to use on their helmet as well for the same reason. If they don't it shoud be #12 - Namath and Stabler I think. Which leads me to digress . . . how can a school that had Namath, Stabler, and Starr produce such sucky QBs now?
Gimme gimme gimme!

Are they not available yet? The stands I mean.
the stand does not work with a mini helmet that you already have. You would be getting a mini helmet and the stand from them. It has to be a mini helmet specially made by them with the magnetic stuff where it needs to be on the helmet to balance it just right

Does nobody in this thread understand the concept of licensing? They can't just start making and selling Michigan helmets without going through the university and/or IMG and getting approval and (probably) paying some large sum of money to do so.
Pffft. WD alone would cover that.
Vincent Smith had the first Michigan Hover Helmet... he was not a fan.
Sent my email thinking the same thing. I could knock out about 4 Christmas gifts with this item.
is awesome. I also clicked thinking it would be some cheesy cheap something or other. Quite the contrary.
Suspect as others have suggested that it's a money/licensing thing. I bet we ask an arm and a leg for stuff like this.

Marshall? Really??
Wow. Magnets. Impressive.
