For the business set, an article that talks about how Harbaugh is breaking a lot of the conventions at UM and across college football;

Who the fuck is Forbes and is he vetted/trusted?

Forbes is someone who requires you to turn off your ad blocker in order to read his pearls of wisdom.
February 23rd, 2016 at 12:45 PM ^
Oh its worse than that. When they started this junk guess what one of their ads was serving???
If you guessed Malware, you win!

And if you want a solution: http://technewsreporter.blogspot.com/2015/12/how-to-bypass-websites-tha…
You will probably need to clean out all your *forbes* cookies as well.

Used to be trusted but now that they've blocked my access b/c I have an ad-blocker, forget it. But Forbes used to be FORBES, now they just have freelance folks writing on their site so I believe they've lost some of their cachet.

random freelance folks writing on their site? I'd rather pay full price for ESPN Insider.

How dare a professional website attempt to make money while providing free content to users.

I don't know about Forbes, but if I recall correctly Torbes also might be vetted

I believe it is pronounced Teve Torbes

How could anyone say this guy is disrupting anything? Damn, I love him.
February 23rd, 2016 at 12:21 PM ^
...and he's disrupting in only FIVE ways? They're not looking hard enough.
February 23rd, 2016 at 12:14 PM ^
First sentence in that article...
"Jim Harbaugh, head football coach of the Michigan Wolverines, is not playing by the rules."
...would seem to imply that he's breaking rules, which is totally untrue. He's clearly playing creatively within the rules, with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind.
February 23rd, 2016 at 12:18 PM ^
You are doing yourself a disservice by focusing on the first sentence. The article is very complimentary.

Being overly literal is literally the worst thing a person can be, ever...

Agreed. It is a complimentary piece. and probably could have said "not playing by the unwritten rules."

I'm not sure the Russia analogy is quite accurate, but let's continue the stereotype that Michigan = Siberia.

nice to keep adding coal to the exposure train. However, the comparisons between the fooball program and a business trigger my PTSD thanks to the "Pre-Hackett" regime.

Word usages I hate: (1) disrupt for anything other than the creation of an actual noisy disturbance, and (2) curate for anything other than the organization of a literal museum exhibition/collection. Also get off my lawn.
