Greg Sankey Wants to Keep Football Recruiting "Healthy"
And those incentives Gary was supposedly offered? Those would be "healthy" incentives.
. @GregSankey said they want to keep football recruiting in a healthy atmosphere.

Greg Sankey Wants to Keep Football Recruiting "Healthy" - for the SEC.
February 12th, 2016 at 9:58 AM ^
apear to be "un-healthy". Why not focus your attention on SEC violations, Greg.

What/where have you heard about Tennessee? Everyone brings up Auburn, Ole Miss, and Clemson, but Tennessee is a new name to the list (though I don't doubt it).
EDIT: Just googled 'Tennessee Recruiting Violations'. Saw they self-reported 18 minor violations.
February 12th, 2016 at 11:26 AM ^
Sex offense violations for Tenn.
February 12th, 2016 at 12:18 PM ^
Could you expand on that? Seems more serious than just 18 minor violations.

Six women just filed a lawsuit against the University for fostering a hostile sexual environment that made women on campus vulnerable.
February 12th, 2016 at 1:00 PM ^
Time will tell on that one. The Tennessean had this interesting nugget in its article:
The plaintiffs say that UT’s administrative hearing process, which is utilized by public universities across the state, is unfair because it provides students accused of sexual assault the right to attorneys and to confront their accusers through cross-examination and an evidentiary hearing in front of an administrative law judge. The administrative law judge who hears the case is appointed by Cheek, the lawsuit says.
A lot of the accusations in the lawsuit, if true, are a really bad look for the school. This one, though, I would hope is true of any instance where someone is accused of a crime. How this paragraph is part of the basis of a lawsuit is totally beyond my understanding.

I've got my opinions on that, but I think they get too far into the banned politix section of the rules.
February 13th, 2016 at 6:34 AM ^
I should have used "allegedly" in my earlier post. But to your point, the biggest reason for using that quote in the lawsuit is the last sentance. The ladies believe the school and administrators are squarely on the side of the athletes and must believe the judges appointed are not independent enough. Whether that's true remains to be seen.

How long will it take before the ACC's John Swofford repeats what Greg Sankey said?
February 12th, 2016 at 1:08 PM ^
Not because I like his policies, but because Chris Christie reminds me too much of Brady Hoke.
February 12th, 2016 at 9:54 AM ^
I feel like he's trying to get people without any knowledge of how the whole thing works to side with him....
February 12th, 2016 at 10:30 AM ^
At least he's finally admitting this is about recruiting and not time demands. And, as long as his cause keeps changing, it's going to be hard for anyone to take his position seriously.
February 12th, 2016 at 9:54 AM ^
Right?
February 12th, 2016 at 10:05 AM ^
Harbaugh is just making them all work harder.

You used this gif to brag about your own dog??? What a shameless pug... :-D :-D :-D
February 12th, 2016 at 10:30 AM ^
A friend of mine used to have a rather disobedient Pug that he regularly referred to as "The little fucker". I did not know he was being quite so literal.

Lorenz, Baumgardner, Balas, and Bacon are all reporting on it.
Anti-Harbaugh quotes from the commissioner of arguably the most powerful college football conference are newsworthy.

Yeah, I guess this horse is still alive and kicking for some. For some reason it's become white noise to me rather quickly. Carry on....
Go Blue.
February 12th, 2016 at 9:57 AM ^
I wonder if he knows what a ridiculous hypocrite he is? Seriously, I really wonder this. Is it even remotely possible that he thinks the SEC has the "moral high ground" in recruiting and can therefore moralize about it? Or did he go home last night and sob slowly into a glass of scotch, knowing that everything he said on this topic throughout the day was the biggest load of horseshit since the "moon landing" (yeah, right)???

February 12th, 2016 at 11:08 AM ^
My guess (without knowing the first thing about the man)... is he's exactly like Goodell. He has a cushy, well respected position that pays very well and which he's completely unqualified for. His one true job is to protect the shield... er.... the ESS EEE CEE. Self respect and morality got nuttin to do with it.
February 12th, 2016 at 11:31 AM ^
He's living in the glassiest of glass houses.
February 12th, 2016 at 9:57 AM ^
This guy needs to start spending his time worrying about the stupid stuff Ole Miss and Tenn are doing, putting huge black eyes on his conference, and stopped worrying about our Coach.
February 12th, 2016 at 11:36 AM ^
True. For every one time he mentions Harbaugh in the media, the SEC's issues with Ole Miss and Tennessee get mentioned ten times.
Not too smart on his part.
