Florida's Pitch to Kurt Taylor ('17): Don't Commit to Michigan!

Submitted by EastCoast Esq. on

Looks like the Gators tried to snipe one of our recruits. The kid didn't bite. I'm looking forward to seeing him in a winged helmet.

On a separate note, the comments are hilarious. Apparently OSU and MSU are "powder puff" teams. The delusion among SEC fans is delicious.

This is how I imagine people that bag on WD or any other anonymous internet poster. Except less teeth. And a cooler full of poop nearby.

They have as much capability to NOT view MGoBlog as WD has to stop making posts/comments they don't like.

There could be an argument made that it is also creepy to even follow said recruits, look them up to see who is tweeting them, or even pulling up mgobloggers to see who they are tweeting.  How does everyone even know who the biggest recruit tweeters are without being a little stalkerish themselves?

I think a lot of you older folks misconstrue what being "creepy" is on Twitter (I'm 20 btw). I don't think the younger generation considers following recruits and maybe even sometimes tweeting something simple like "go blue" at them creepy at all, Especially when the recruits agg it on by tweeting something that's bound to get a lot of fan replies. For example, if a recruit tweets a pic of him on an OV, then what's wrong with fans tweeting at them.

Of course, constantly tweeting recruits or tweeting anything negative/classless is not okay. But a simple "Go Blue" is not creepy at all. These kids really do beg for fans to tweet at them, go check the Twitter feed of the top recruits. Most of them are asking for the attention/twitter replies. Chris Clark last year was the best example of this I've seen.. The recruiting game is changing and social media will likely play a significant role... Just remember, if you do tweet recruits, don't be a dumbass.. These are high school kids after all

many speak in interviews as if fan interaction is a positive thing. Really anything that gets their RT/FAV count up is smiled upon by most. It's a bit late for me but that 16-24 year old group is VERY comfortable with social media, online attention, etc. Regular kids base popularity on followers, views, etc. You can literally raise your stock by having a single popular Vine, heavily trafficked Twitter or YouTube account, etc. Kids be gettin' laid because of a funny video that went semi-viral these days lol. It's truly a different time to grow up and I'm barely in my 30s.

if he ever wants to be a 4 star on ESPN or Rivals recruiting sites he would have to decommit from Michigan and commit to Fla. I honestly would rather walk through fire than say that but it seems some sites like Michigan recruits after they decommit or before they become Michigan recruits. I read somebody here say that 'there are a lot of politics involved in star ratings' and now that Walker fell to a 4 star (because suddenly he can't be decisive behind the line of scrimmage and tends to dance) what a load of horse shit. Or might I say politics as usual.
