All weight gain is good weight gain....

That's stupid. Let's be scientific here.
As a high school freshman, he's probably about 14 years old. When he's a contributing upperclassman, he'll be 21 or so. Human height and weight growth is linear throughout our lives (obviously). So add 50% to his current height (6'4") and weight (290 lbs), and a scientific projection is that he'll be about 9'6" and 435 lbs when he's playing for us.

if you assume height is linear in age, then you should assume weight (which is proportional to the volume of the body) is cubic.
therefore when he plays for M, he'll be 9'6" and 290*1.5^3 = 978.75 lbs (to be exact)

Is it possible for opponents to score if they can't see the basket?

Pad level is awful. I suppose would make a decent nose tackle as he could 2-gap while standing still.

He said he can play all 5 line positions. He didn't make it clear but he obviously meant at one time.
#Bolt/#CrystalBall combo for a 2019 (!) OL #Michigan offered today; his OC says he could play all 5 line spots: http://t.co/5ult9OSasu

How is his knee bend and pad level?
September 24th, 2015 at 4:25 PM ^
Is he a road grader? Does he have a nasty streak? Is he a football player? Intangibles? What am I forgetting?

Apparently you just need to give him a couple years

and maybe 3 frozen waffles instead of 2 in the morning.

My kid is 1 year younger and is probably 95th percentile in terms of weight for his age - and this kid weighs 2x what my kid does.
September 24th, 2015 at 4:27 PM ^
So this guy isn't born yet right? How old are kids now?

I just asked my worthless son where his offer is. But we're going for Beilein: 6'1", 130lb. Looks like I may be paying for college. Ugh.
September 24th, 2015 at 5:04 PM ^
So, if the measurements are accurate, I am 23 years older than this kid, but seven inches shorter and 120 pounds lighter. I clearly drank too much of that candy ass milk that Harbaugh was talking about when I was younger. I feel ashamed in a way now.
September 24th, 2015 at 5:08 PM ^
My 4 year old son is 3'4 and 45 pounds great pad level and uses his hands like a 6 year old. Feet need some work. Probably better at pass protection than running blocking.
Major upside though is when he shoots blitzing linebackers with invisible webs like he is spiderman.

Born in 2011..................
Oh God. When I see the class of 2029 come up and the recruits being born in the years I was in HS, that's gonna be......something.
I wonder what mgoblog will be like in 2029. I say Brian takes over the Michigan media world and instead of ESPN and BTN, Michigan's TV rights go to MGoNetwork.

My 3 year old should play for BYU. He seems to always find a way to hit me in the nuts.
To anyone expecting a son: You will get hit in the mouth and nuts during his first four years, more than you ever did playing contact sports growing up.
