Helmet Sticker Design?
So helmet stickers are back and apparently Darboh, Butt, and Glasgow earned the most stickers. I'm excited to see them and see our top players accumulate them over the course of the season.
One question though:
Do we know yet WHAT the stickers look like? Or is that still a mystery?

I have an image in my head of an old guy with a Bo hat on rocking back and forth on an old wooden chair on a porch, with a shotgun across his lap. He also is chewing on some wheat for some reason.

Will they? I have not seen Meyer's.
This was reportedly Tressel's.
NOTE: color scheme may cause momentary vision loss. On the plus side, no comment section on the page to read when your vision returns.
This also says stickers only awarded for wins. If we lose tonight and Meyer only awards for games, you would know next Saturday. I looked at Va Tech photos and Kent State pictures and guys have the same stickers, so we don't award them after losses.
I agree 9 seems like a lot, but maybe the goals will be set higher next year as the team improves.

2. Most Receptions (8)
3. Most yards Receiving (101)
4. Longest Reception (28 yards)
5. Big play (over 20 yards)
6. Touchdown
7. 100 yards receiving
8. Best in WR Group
Now let's assume he gets a blocking sticker and you're at 9. When you lead your unit in almost every category these type of things happen.

They are handed out in recognition for making a good play If you make 10 great plays, but your team loses 21-20, why should you not get any stickers?
You can't have it both ways. Either you are going to recognize individual contributions, or you aren't. The helmet stickers recognize individual contributions. You win as a team and lose as a team. Having someone lose recognition for their individual contributions because the team lost is just punative and as someone else said, a great way to kill morale. Should we throw out all the stats because the team didn't win too?
Do you really think the kids don't want to win already?

I think that statement right there says enough. The spirit of Bo will not be denied.

No disrespect whatsoever to Butt, Darboh, or anyone of the guys who got a sticker after the game. They worked their asses off and kept Michigan in the game. But if I were in charge (which I most certainly am not, that's why they hired Harbaugh), those stickers would not be handed out after a loss. I'd like to think it promotes competition and the desire to win all the moreso if they're only handed out after wins.
But again, I'm not Harbaugh. I'll fall in line with whatever he wants to do.

Should stats count in a loss? Or maybe we should not count any of Butt's catches or his TD, because Michigan lost.

...if these helmet stickers were Dave Brandon's idea and not Jim Harbaugh's.
Exact same sticker, no Chobani logo on them or anything. Exact same sticker, exact same everything...just Brandon rolling them out instead of Harbaugh.

Context is everything. Dave Brandon showed that he didn't know what was best for Michigan, so if he came out with helmet stickers we would of course be pissed. Jim Harbaugh is the exact opposite. We respect that if he wants helmet stickers it's might be okay.

I'm not a fan, but at this point I just don't care much anymore as long as the home uniforms aren't messed with much.

1 leaf for every burglary
1 leaf for assault
1 leaf for a successful offseason fake job
1 leaf for each cover up (team)
Tressel and Meyer are dueche bags

I don't see the point of limiting helmet stickers to wins only.
Harbaugh is all about introducing as much competition as possible between his players. Helmet stickers are a form of competition. If you have more stickers than the next guy it means that you are playing better than the next guy. You are ahead of him in the pecking order. It gives the next guy an incentive to work that much harder.
I'm not worried about Harbaugh making losing palatable with these stickers. The guy is a psychopath dedicated to winning. He will not let these boys be content having helmet stickers but no wins to show for it.
