The logo is so small, who cares what it is. But I think it's rad to be different. What's a swoosh anyways? It's not some logo that represents football. What's the matter with a representation of an athlete excelling in his sport on a football jersey? There will be much worse jerseyish type things to get upset about.

As a late 80s early 90s pistons fan I promise you that I will never buy a piece of apparel with Michael Jordan's likeness on it. If a team wore it, outside of the pistons, I wouldn't necessarily complain. If somebody bought me a pair of track pants as a present I may wear them. But I would never spend my money on a jersey or a shirt or a pair of shoes or anything else with an outline of Michael Jordan on it. If however this is just phase one in introducing a whole football line with a new logo modeled after Charles Woodson I may need a second job.

As a Pistons fan - we did pretty well against Jordan.  Yeah, our guys got old, he got better and beat us, but still.  Jordan's big "getting over the hump" moment was beating the Pistons, who he had such a problem with for so long.  And those were great games.

I hate Brett Favre because he owned us.  But Jordan?  We took it to him a lot of times too, got two titles out of it.  Not a lot of franchises can say that.

Personally I think this pretty frackin sweet. I always liked how Michigan had the unique smaller swoosh on the collar instead of on the chest like every other Nike school. Nike knows this is a special place and is deserving of a special uniform.

So what?  This is more stupid than alternate uniforms, if you ask me.  Put it on the basketball team, fine, but on the football team?  That doesn't make sense to me.  Yes, I realize that the Jordan brand is in golfing, racing, and baseball, but it doesn't belong on a Michigan football uniform.

You really have no idea how jealous everyone is over this.

Whether it be athletes at other schools all across the country or fans of other schools. I've been all over twitter searching just to get reactions to it and it's a consensus jealous theme.

Michigan was already one of four other men's basketball teams and two other women's basketball teams to receive Jumpman. Now they're going to be the first football team.

They're getting this before Jordan's alma mater even gets it. Think about that.

HE called Harbaugh on the phone offering it. MICHAEL JORDAN called our football coach.

Just imagine that sentence a year ago.

The only reason people are saying, "Michigan forgot what sport they play" is because they're jealous their team wasn't picked.  Michigan is all over the news everywhere and people are sick of it.  Because they wish that was their team.  Don't worry about what other people say.

Completely disagree. If Brandon secures the richest sports apparel deal while also getting ole back, and then made UM innovative in a good way, everyone would still like it. They would probably still hate Brandon, but this would be a 'good job, but it's too late' kind of thing. But that's all moot because this never would have happened with Brandon because Brandon would never have gotten Harbaugh which is the only reason this went down anyway.

I agree with you.  All objectivity was lost with Dave Brandon by the end.  I wanted him gone too, but there were some things he did where I said, "that actually sounds like a good idea" but the fanbase as a whole went ape shit.  But that's just human nature - when you don't like someone, you see the things they do in a skewed light.

Similarly, if you think someone is like a cooler Jesus (Jim Harbaugh), they can do anything and people will fawn over it.
