Kids this age have a change of heart all the time. Do you think winning is the only thing these kids care about? Some of them want to play, even if it isn't for a National Championship. There are kids who want to play a position that maybe a school doesn't want them at..

Look at David Reese.. there is talk he might waiver his comittment, why? I mean I don't know for sure, but it seems as were kinda pushing towards Full-Back for him but his heart is at Linebacker. Please don't take this as the whole truth. But things like this happen. Or maybe he wants to go play with Dez Fitzpatrick at Louisville and that is more enticing than playing for a winning Michigan team.

There are also other teams that will be doing really good and winning. Maybe a player decides he would rather play at Alabama than a winning Michigan team on the rise. Who knows! These kids change their minds all the time. Just because we are winning doesn't mean a kid won't have some reason to decomitt.

I've never been recruited to play football in college, but I think in a lot of cases the coaches have ways of distancing themselves from a player, leaving them to make a decision based on perceived interest from the coaches.

At the end of the day, the kids want to play, so they'll go to the school that gives them that chance, even if its not their first choice.

It really eases the pain of losing out on his commitment. Such things just shouldn't be done, especially by kickers. Maybe a kicking montage or something, but coming out a private plane? It was good for a laugh.

Sam said a week ago that the staff decided to pass on him due to David and the limited spots.

I understand since it's rare to take scholarship kickers in consecutive years but I'm a bit concerned about a low number of in-state players in this class (seriously, it might just be Falcon and Onwegu by the end). MSU will try to negatively recruit and tell HS coaches that UM doesn't care about local players.

Since Harbaugh got here a couple morons ago, I would think the numbers next year would be much more telling. Also, who fucking cares what MSU can negative recruit with. It is extremely easy to negative recruit right back. "Yeah, you know all those great seasons they've had recently? You don't? That's because no one gives a fuck about them." Problem solved.
