Quick and dirty recruiting rundown on the Opening by 247
A recruiting rundown on most (all) participants at The Opening next week. A lot of it is stuff we know, and there's not a whole lot of in-depth on there, but it did scratch the recruiting news itch. And it's free:

Thanks, to both of you and Magnus.
I put him in there because Gil may grow into a LB and I didn't want us to put all of our safety eggs in Metellus' basket. I would really like another true safety and we seem to be in his top 4.
What are the chances he doesn't go to one of the Cali schools?
With the Cali kids you have to give those schools the edge because it's not easy getting them to leave there. His top 4 look to be UM, USC, UCLA and Notre Dame. If anyone an pull a kid from Cali it's Harbaugh...I'm hoping.

He's a safety from Elk Grove (CA) Franklin.
A few of the names on that list are silents. But it astounds me that we lead (i.e. are in the top group) for all of them.
But Khalid Kareem's change of heart reminded us how meaingless silent commits can be.
schollies available this year?? Seriously, how are we going to find the room for everyone? We can only go to 25 per year, correct?
There's the 25 class maximum, plus backdating 3 EEs and up to 25 greyshirts. Of course that won't happen, but a couple of greyshirts would not be a surprse. My guess is that we'll take a total of 25, backdating 3 of them, leaving a little wiggle room for a late decision or two. I'm assuming enough attrition between now and Feb.
This is kind of a Captain Obvious statement, but some of the guys currently committed to Michigan will not be committed to Michigan by February.
We're having a super year if we get 3 of these guys, right?
