OT: Puff Daddy arrested after fight with UCLA football coach.
This might be interesting for the board since there was a topic on P. Diddy's son on the blog before. http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/ot-p-diddys-son-commits-ucla
Diddy is a bad boy for life.
The rapper was arrested at UCLA after an altercation with his son's football coach Monday afternoon, according to TMZ.
A source reveals the fight reportedly happened after the team's assistant coach began screaming at his kid, Justin Combs, who plays defensive back on the team.
The coach was "riding Justin, screaming intensely at him," a source told the gossip site.
Things allegedly escalated quickly when Diddy confronted him in a UCLA athletic facility and eventually grabbed him.
A source alleged that Diddy wanted to call the police but his phone was taken away from him.
The mogul was arrested and is currently being held for assault at the campus jail, it was reported.

Edit: Diddy arrested on an assault with a deadly weapon charge, a kettlebell.
It's RICK James biotches. Alprazolam, diazepam, bupropion, citalopram, hydrocodone, digoxin, chlorpheniramine, methamphetamine and cocaine - RICK James had the chemistry to make change happen at UCLA. Don't give us none of this CRACK James b.s., dude was a piker. Note to Crack James - assault happens, now go take a pill and give me that stuff, that funk, that sweet that funky stuff.
Probably flew flight 420.
4:35 PM PT -- Sources connected with Diddy tells us the rap mogul is adamant he acted in SELF DEFENSE and was not the aggressor.
Our Diddy sources tell us ... Diddy insists the drama began during a workout session yesterday because strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi was "riding Justin badly" and told him not to come back until the end of the summer.
Diddy went to the campus today to speak with Alosi -- believing he has an "issue" with Justin -- but things didn't go well when he arrived to campus.
Our Diddy sources say the coach would not see him and staff told him to leave ... but Diddy went to Alosi's office instead where Alosi told him to get out and threatened to call security if he didn't leave.
We're told Diddy said, "Fine, I'll call police" ... and Alosi snapped -- going after Diddy with his hands.
We're told Diddy insists he grabbed a kettlebell and held it up in a defensive position ... but did not attack with an intent to injure the coach.

Puff daddy don't like people playin' on his phone.
"campus jail" - sounds like the Half-Ass
Sorry, Diddy-American, is that better?
Much - thanks, LL Col A.
Man I would love to see Diddy KO Mora.
I bet this is great for his son in the locker room
Music producer and rapper Sean Combs was arrested at a UCLA football summer workout, reportedly after getting into a physical altercation with a coach, reportedly strength coach Sal Alosi, who was fined and suspended by the New York Jets in 2010 for tripping a Miami Dolphins player during a punt return.
This is the equivalent of a parent calling in sick for their grown kid to work. Is Diddy going to follow his kid into the workforce as well? What happens when his boss yells at him? Diddy gonna have beef wid dat too? Just wait till this youngster gets married and his wife lets him have it. I played HS and college ball and would take any coach screaming at me over my wife bringing the thunder(god bless her heart).
Grow up Diddy, and let your son grow up on his own as well.
Just to play devil's advocate here (and know that I agree with you in principle) the coach may have been "riding him" for the wrong reasons (e.g. yelling at him based on who his Daddy is) and not necessarily his play.
I've seen/watched this happen before and it can quickly turn personal.
EDIT: Charged w/ assault by kettlebell; my above point was only for non-kettlebell related offenses.
My advice to P Diddy would be to ask himself the obvious question when you feel your kid is being treated unfairly by a coach.
What Would Craig James Do?
(I mean, apart from kill five hookers? Allegedly.)

Very lucky indeed that he missed. The UCLA press release said he was charged with assault with a deadly weapon. It will be interesting to see what kind of consequences he faces (if any).

Snoop has a kid on the team too.
But I would have loved to have seen Diddy's reaction to Brian Kelly going all purple face on his son.

Boy did we dodge a bullet, so to speak, by not getting his son! Not sure JH would have tolerated more than 0.1 secs of Puff Daddy/P. Diddy/Diddy or whatever the fuck his name is this week.
Some details are obviously missing from the story. If this report is correct, Puff Daddy probably wasn't the first one to break the law.
A source alleged that Diddy wanted to call the police but his phone was taken away from him.

The story gives the impression it was taken away to prevent him from calling the police.

Exactly. His son has four career tackles as a redshirt junior. Maybe that's the reason the coach was trying to light a fire under his ass.
as did his mom w/ the diaphragm.
Apologies to those taking this seriously
SBNation goes with a few more details - LINK
No one was seriously injured and UCPD is investigating. Combs is expected to be transported to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Inmate Reception Center later this evening.
That was from a UCLA tweet. Apparently, Combs himself offered to call the police but the phone was taken from him.

What an asshole.
