Where are they now: Tai Streets
Came across this news about Tai Streets and thought I'd pass along the story. Streets was just named varsity basketball coach at Thornton, one of Illinois' top historic programs.

I'm glad to hear he's not. . .

. . . out on the streets!
*We Won't Get Fooled Again by The Who*
I heard he doesn't teach his kids how to play team basketball. He just lets them screw around and play streetsball.
Streetsball is the only IHSA sanctioned sport that can end in a Tai.
Streetball is HUGE in Tailand
Tailand
Taiwan
Taireland
Taiceland
Taina
East Taimor
The Taivory Coast
Taiberia
Taiger
Taigeria
Tairan
Tairaq.
It also always begins in a Tai (0-0).
Fantastic.
I believe he is still running Forrest Gump style after catching a long TD pass in the Rose Bowl
After hitting his triple against MSU in the 2014 game before halftime.
And now impetus for my favorite punsters.
Turns out Tai's in on the joke (for the humorless one who negged Magnus-- unless he's just a regular Magnus nemesis):
Streets, 38, has coached the freshman team at Thornton for the past several years. He doesn’t have any varsity coaching experience but founded and has coached one of the most successful club basketball programs in the country, Meanstreets.
My random memory of Tai was during one of the broadcasts they mentioned when he moved to college and had to learn how to cook. Dude couldn't even figure out Kraft Mac 'n' Cheese. No idea why I remember that trivia.
Coach Tai!
Giese just off the bench threw a quick slant over the middle to Streets for a TD that broke the 1996 defensive struggle in Columbus. That's my favorite memory of Coach Streets.
