I'm glad the game is Saturday.
If two inches or snow accumulates Friday night, it will still be around for the game
It will be in the 50s all day Friday until that possible two inches hit. It's supposed to be sunny and in the 40s on Saturday, so combine the sun with the warmer ground and the snow is gone by mid-morning. If you're driving in early Saturday morning, that may be a bit trickier.
There is a good chance it could be gone by game time. Forecast shows a high of 46 right now, so it will probably be 40 at noon. Metal seats get colder faster than the ground, so there could still be snow in the stands when the game starts.
I still think this could hurt attendance. I was planning on tailgating for the game (it's been too long since November) and might not anymore. I'll find somewhere indoors to drink instead.
Yeah, if it was 45 degrees and sunny for a November game, that would be great "football weather" and attendance would be up. But now it's bad football weather because it's 4 months later?
Weather Channel is showing a high of 50 for Saturday. Our spring game seems to be about the earliest date of any team having such a game. It's a shame it couldn't be moved back by a few weeks, but then there will be a conflict with exams.
I'm partial to St. Louis. Cincinnati is too close to Ohio's armpit.
Droopy
Hey, I'm telling.
MODS!!
Weather.com shows rain on Friday, potential for light Snow sunday morning and about 50 and sunny on Saturday. Still looks good to me.
70 and partly sunny on my living room couch.
65 and mostly cloudy(dark), if sitting in my basement recliner.
p.s. Can't drive 500+ miles for a spring game so don't go calling me out for not supporting the team.
The Proclaimers would beg to differ.
Yeah, and they would even WALK it.
Better hope Mr. Yost doesn't see this...
They may ruin his grass, or track mud onto his driveway.
At least it looks better than the Northern Texas forecast.
Fuck Ohio?
No, that's for the East Coast.
From the National Weather Service forecast for Friday and Saturday:
Friday: Rain and snow likely after 3pm. Mostly sunny, then becoming cloudy during the afternoon, with a high near 52. West wind 6 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Friday Night: Rain and snow likely, mainly before 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 44.
I guess it depends on the model you use. The expert forecast opinion at White Lake shows the possibility for it to get higher than 44. Actually, early April and sunny - we might get into the mid-50s at least.
Wunderground says less than 1" of snow for Friday night. High around 48 on Saturday with sunny skies. I'll take it...
pull off some layers before and during the game.
People complain about this literally every year. Guess what? Most days in April in Michigan are going to be a little chilly. It is very rare that an April Saturday is 65 degrees.
Anything other than rain during the actual game is a win.
It was pushing 80 on April 1 that year.
Very memorable day - 10,000 people at the Hash Bash (many advance Deadheads showed up as the Dead were playing Crisler later in the week), really warm weather...and oh yeah, the basketball team won some semifinal game in Seattle.
Wasn't April 1, 1989 the day that everyone was injured/transferred/dead?
83 here. Have fun!

high of 49, partly sunny, 0% chance of rain.
Late 90's/early 2000's had some pretty gorgeous weather for the spring games, though. It would be nice to finally get that back.
