Whichever Green Bay DB it was, that's what I was saying. Though everybody seems to downplay it, like it was nothing. The commentators didn't even say anything about it. He gave himself up like the game was over!!! I wasn't really pulling for anybody, but still.

If you're going to blame the entire game on one player and one play.... At least correctly identify the player. How one could say that play is more to blame than the blown recovery of the onside kick blows my mind. Hmm what's worse... Intercepting a pass a safely taking a knee in the rain or trying to recover an onside kick with your facemask??

(Born and raised Packer fan)

Give props to Seattle. They never thought they were out of it and made the plays at the end. That's what championship teams do.

I think the game would have ended differently if the GB D back wouldn't have gone down after the interception like the game was over. He gave up at least another 10-15 yards. Great resilience by the Seahawks!

Thank you God for sparing me Aaron Rodgers non-stop for two weeks.

I hate you Packers and am so glad you lost.

Yeah, that's really annoying. I mean, it's ridiculous that a town be really excited about a team that won the Super Bowl. Especially a town that has a baseball team that hasn't made the World Series in its 40 years of existence, had a basketball team get sold and moved, and a football team that was was really bad for the first 25 years of its existence finally wins its first Super Bowl. So obnoxious. No other city's fans would ever be insufferable after winning a championship!

Not saying they can't be happy but there was a ton of 'start of a dynasty' talk and the 12th man thing was pretty out of control months after the season ended.  It was taking on a Red Sox fans after 1st championship feel, which isn't a good look on anyone.  I have a bunch of friends who live in Seattle and while I love them dearly they've pretty out of control about the team.

It remains to be seen whether or not they turn into a dynasty. That's premature. Sure, maybe a little bit over the top but it is also a reflection of people being enthusiastic about their team and hoping that the success can be sustained. Professional sports fans are starved for success around here. And while I am somewhat skeptical that anyone can have a dynasty given the parity in the NFL, the Seahawks are relatively young and have a lot of players under reasonable contracts. It will get tricky when they have to pay Wilson but they are still well positioned for the long-term. Especially in a league where the best quarterbacks of their generation are aging: Brees is 35, Brady is 37, Manning is 38.

I guess to each his own. I don't see anything resembling the Red Sox fans and outside of Seattle you don't see people biting on the Seahawks the way that they do the Red Sox/Yankees/Cowboys etc. The 12th fan I suppose may seem cheesy from the outside but the fans take pride in being the loudest stadium in the NFL and the high level of fan support. Not the worst thing in the world. Some of it is bandwagony, but it's that way everywhere. And it's an on-going thing that has been around a long time. They retired the 12 jersey in 1984 and it's been A Thing since well before the Hawks were good. It just wasn't noticed nationally because the team was not as prominent.

Seriously, what is with Pete Carroll?  I thought the devil came for your soul after ten years.  I haven't seen that much luck since the Raiders-Patriots "tuck rule" game.

Mike McCarthy put in one of the worst coaching performances I have ever seen.  This just proves you don't need to be a good coach to win a Super Bowl.

He coached scared all game and in the end got what he deserved.

At this point i think its safe to say that Pete Carrol wins because he is a good coach. Even though at USC some shady things went on, at the end they won because he is good coach

But that was a very Lion-like way to lose.  How many times have we seen them dominate a game only to somehow choke it away?  I guess there is still hope - maybe the playing field is leveling for us.
