OT Michigan
C'mon men, this is M GO FUCKING BLOG!
Michigan just beat UW in hockey. Mens basketball has a game against Alabama tommorrow. Can't we find something to discuss besides Notre Dame?
Ofcourse, if 15-20 Sparty football players put on ski masks and assault men and women at a fundraiser that would be worth discussing.

What are your thoughts on the next ND coach?

from my neighbors' friends' girlfriend, that the melee would have been much worse, but Tim Tebow came in and calmed everyone down.

I went to the Bayou Bucket game tonight. No thread on that yet (although I'll have a post about it on my own corner of blogistan sometime in the next few days). It was like watching a video game in person. 59-0 at the half. Jesus.

i got excited thinking you might live near me only to discover the Bayou Bucket is played nowhere near the Bayou by two schools nowhere near 'the bayou.' wtf?

Buffalo Bayou in the city formerly known as the Bayou City (now something like Space City? or Skrewston). Not quite in Louisiana.

I do kinda wish there wasn't 6 or so threads about this game or the surrounding issues.
But whatever, they will move on down the list soon enough.
I am glad you brought up hockey and basketball though. I really enjoyed watching hockey destroy Minny last night, and to finish it up with a win over a Wisconsin team that beat up on MSU last night is a great sign moving forward. Looking at our schedule, I noticed that it is fairly soft in the second half. I am confident that we can turn things around and get back to our normal spot in the top three of the CCHA by season's end.
As far as basketball goes, we need to win tomorrow plain and simple. We are a better team and every win will matter come tourney time. I'm looking forward to watching. Having three basketball games and a hockey game to watch has helped make the lack of Michigan football much easier to deal with.

if Drew Brees had never gone to college and not turned pro and just worked in a bowling alley and then decided he wanted to come to Michigan for a kinesiology degree and play football for us at 30, do you think we would have won the game against Northwestern that year?

If we're being serious, this is a 90% Michigan football blog. And one of our biggest rivals just finished imploding

They did just complete a landmark disaster season. Remember this guy (Weiss) wasn't just hired, he was given a 10-year windfall extension based on initial "success". It is a significant story.

... it's far better than the "OT:[insert latest item from ESPN Headlines]".
There should be something in the FAQ that says: "Assume all MgoBlue users have heard of ESPN and can find it on the Interweb."
A change in the HC of one of Michigan's top 3 football rivals is never OT, IMHO.
But it may have already been posted...
