CC: 49ers Presser Live Feed 4:40 EST: What Will Harbaugh Say?

This is Harbaugh's first press conference since "The Offer". Do leaders still eat last? I think they do. My guess...

"We have two games to go with a goal to finish 9-7. There is a lot of work to do and I'll consider my future when the work is done."

What's your guess? Does he send secret non-verbal messages to calm the Michigan faithful's nerves?

It does look like a navy blue t-shirt of some kind. How awesome it would be if he just quietly took off his 49ers sweatshirt half way through and slung it across a chair and just kept going with a big MICHIGAN across his chest.

"As you know I only talk about the job that I have" Yesss perfect response

but then when asked about coaching out his contract he says "yeah" nooooo what does this mean?

He did cough when he said "yeah" anyone else notice that did you?!

nice job jim.  keep your focus.

although it would have been epic if he had answered the running back question with "green and johnson will be healed by september and we will be fine".

Did I hear that right? A reporter asked him whether it was still his intention to finish out his contract, and he replied "yeah." His contract runs though the end of the 2015-16 season.

Since he's a professional, of course that's his goal to honor a professional agreement. It'd be very frowned upon to say that he does not intend to follow through with a commitment, and it is largely assumed anyway that the 49ers front office will force him out anyway.

asked about his affinity to Michigan, he responded:

"I don't really want to talk about it. I want to talk about the job I have, not about every body else's process." (not quite verbatim)

I kept refreshing the live video at the 49ers site, then I realized that it will be on Pacific Time Zone. I hope it's the news we UM fans want to hear.

Did you see the body language? So much body language.

But in all seriousness, he's not comfortable there. He's just going through the motions.

Come Home, Jim!

Yeah, I can't see him there after this season.  I just hope SF dosen't make a preemptive move and trade him so they can get compensation.  If he goes to Oakland via trade I'm sure they will greet him at the door with a major contract extension.  If that's how a transaction like that works.  Good business says to take in all offers and decide which one would be the most beneficial.  Some people listen to their heart as well, to me Harbaughs is an enigma.  I'm ready for some good news for a change.

Seriously, those reporters ask the most stupid and incoherent questions.

I did see something different when they asked him about finishing up his contract.  He hesitated quite a bit and was really vague at answering.

Other than that everything went pretty much as expected.
