CC: Jim Come Home

"Jim Come Home"

with apologies to Simon & Garfunkel and their song, “Homeward Bound”

Jim’s sitting in Santa Clara station.
Hackett’s got a ticket to his destination. hmmm-mmm
On a tour of one-night stands he’s got headset and cap in hand.
And ev'ry stop is neatly planned as stepping stone to Michigan’s NC stand.
Homeward bound,
I wish Jim was,
Homeward bound,
Home, with no recruits escaping,
Home, where our band is playing,
Home, where MGoBlog is waiting
Silently for him.

Ev'ry day's an endless stream
Of bullshit tweets and agent smokescreens. hmmm-mmm
And each coach looks the same to me, whether alternative B, C, or D
And Ian Rapoport’s face reminds me that I long to see,
Homeward bound,
I wish Jim was,
Homeward bound,
Home, with no recruits escaping,
Home, where our band is playing,
Home, where MGoBlog is waiting
Silently for him.

Tonight I'll press F5 again,
I'll play the game and pretend. hmmm-mmm
But the last decade comes back to me in shades of mediocrity
Like emptiness in harmony I need Harbaugh to comfort me.
Homeward bound,
I wish Jim was,
Homeward bound,
Home, with no recruits escaping,
Home, where our band is playing,
Home, where MGoBlog is waiting
Silently for him.
Silently for him

EDIT: The board is touchy this morning!  Take a deep breath . . . it is sarcasm.

I guess at this point I wouldn't be surprised if reports of people following him around, sitting in his driveway, or peering in his windows started to surface. This is going to be a long two weeks.

Instead of marking these threads CC, can we have some tag for sarcasm? I understand the OP was just trying to make a light hearted thread, but I'm getting tired of clicking on threads thinking they will have new info, only to be yet another CC joke

Yes, show it to everyone you know.  Email it, text it, print it off and post it on lightpoles, car windshields.  Everywhere.  Once everyone sees it the worlds best scientists will try to figure out how to erase it from our memories and maybe, just maybe, they will accomplish this feat in your lifetime.  This is a pivotal moment in our lives but we are all in this together.

The board is becoming hateful of all things not related to good JH news. Posters beware. Commenters beware. Soon we will descend into a dark forest of negs where Schiano's face lurks in every dark corner

Let us strive to maintain a sense of decorum and a modicum of decency in this time of turmoil.

Or perhaps we should all just flip out and start writing complete gibberish:

There, that was cathartic!

Everybody needs a little time away
I heard Jim say, from each other
Even Michigan Men need a holiday
Far away from each other

come home Jim
It's hard for me
To say I'm sorry
I just want you to stay

After all that
We've been through
I will make it up to you
I promise to

And after all that's
Been said and done
You're just the part of M
I can't let go

I don't mind all of the coaching change posts--they give some interesting reading/comments. This post, however, is by far the worst CC post of them all.

Jokes aside I really wonder if Harbaugh knows how badly everyone at Michigan wants him. I find it hard to believe he would rather put up with the crap from NFL owners and gems rather than come back here and be treated like a king especially considering money would not be the problem

I am not knocking him but he has shown that he does what is best for him. What we don't know is if after 3 seasons of coaching the NFL does Jim enjoy coaching in the pros more than college. We will soon find out. What we do know is Jim likes tough challenges. Everywhere he has gone has been a place that was pretty much in the dumpster or had fallen on hard times. Michigan, in the state it is in right now, fits the situation that Jim is attracted to.
