Fanhouse: Michigan to Alamo Bowl
I stumbled across this and did not see anything posted. Fanhouse.com posted an article yesterday about how they think the Big Ten will finish out.
Here is the link http://ncaafootball.fanhouse.com/2009/11/05/pickin-on-the-big-ten-lets-…
Basically, Fanhouse says we will win tomorrow and lose to Wisky and pull the upset over OSU. Therefore, we finish 7-5 (obviously) and go to the Alamo Bowl against Kansas. In the Alamo Bowl they say we dominate a overrated Kansas team and this ends all the "bad auras" around RR.
Personally, I would be tremendously happy if this is outcome of the season. After our horrendous October, winning three of our last four (including bowl game) would be great.
If you did not notice the title of the article is Picking on the Big Ten so i am assuming the author is just being an ass. But just hypothetical situation, do you agree with fanhouse's prediction and would you be satisfied with this outcome?

I have not recovered from the 2005 Alamo Bowl, frankly. From time to time, I'll awake from a dead sleep and scream "lateral the fucking ball." My girlfriend thinks I'm nuts.

I didn't realize Tyler Ecker now posts on mgoblog as SFBlue....

"And when we return Michigan will begin their next possession at the 20...
"Well. It appears the officials have spotted the ball on Michigan's 3 yard line. Not sure what they saw."
Seriously. Putting all bias aside I've never seen a more poorly officiated college football game. Unreal. The above quote (okay, paraphrase based on foggy recall) refers to the play when Nebraska punted a ball that landed 2 yards deep in our endzone, thereafter bouncing back and settling on our 3 yard line. Tirico said we'd start at the 20 when we returned from commercials. Lo and behold, we returned from commercials to find ourselves starting at the 3.
I realize this wasn't a game-breaking play, but it epitomizes the ineptitude and utter confusion of the Sun Belt crew. From that play forward Tirico and Herbstreit just bit their tongues and tried not to laugh at the atrocious officiating.

both called it the worst-officiated game in college football history. That's a Cornhusker and a Buckeye.
I don't think you need any more confirmation that that.

I would full-on bitch slap my grandma's boyfriend tomorrow if that prediction could be guaranteed.

OK. I'm deleting my post. It's not worthy.

What would you do if we could win out?
November 7th, 2009 at 11:45 AM ^
I'd change my kid's name to Rich Rodriquez. He's 12, so there would be an adjustment period. Hell, I might even change my daughter's. She's 4 so it wouldn't be as difficult.

i would slap you back, twice.

if just one of those predictions came true
....a bowl game.
November 7th, 2009 at 2:39 AM ^
I certainly hope that's possible because I need some bowl game redemption from going to my 1st Wolverine bowl game against the Dead Red Huskers. Count me in if the boys come to Texas....Chhuuchh!!

Give me any bowl game and I'll be happy...I think we all know the boys can use another month of practice.
P.S. I'm not trying to say that sarcastically...this team needs to practice and be in a bowl game, no matter how trivial it may seem.

just checking fanhouse math, it think 5 wins + 1 win is 6-6 not 7-5. must be the same people that run the ticker for BTN. too many year of education to add small numbers.
November 7th, 2009 at 9:53 AM ^
Well, they also predicted we upset Ohio State. So +2 wins.
November 7th, 2009 at 9:51 PM ^
5 wins, which is what we have, plus 1 win... is 6-6.
Is this some newfangled Calc that I would have dropped out of in high school after taking a semester of and fulfilling the graduation requirement or am I missing something?

this was posted yesterday? are you missing that?
