Canned heat in his heels? Or canned lemons?
Who am I kidding, I'd vote for him. If I were in Michigan.

Excellent idea.

I don't know what to say. I didn't think anything could be dumber than the skywriting debacle. But this. This is stunning.
I mean, this wasn't just bad. This was so bad that people across the country thought it had to be a joke or a hoax.
I don't even.

"people who are in charge of things are just in charge of things". Holy mother of god Dave Brandon just doesn't get it. You could run his mother over with your car and he'd probably get Goodyear to sponsor the goddamn funeral. Fuck him and fuck this athletic department until EVERYBODY in the administration goes. Fuck Dave Brandon for getting us here, fuck anybody on the payroll who doesn't step up and stop shit like this from happening. I'd rather 30,000 people show up than someone get a pair of tickets because they needed their sugar fix. I don't pay for season tickets, but if you do and you don't make your displeasure known to the university, then you're part of the problem.

I wish I would have lit my $1,200 on fire and shit on the flames than renewed my season tickets this year. I just have no desire to even go anymore until DB and Hoke are gone.
FUCK. THEM. ALL.

What do you say, Dave? Give them to under priveledged children or sell them to UGo's or Coke to give away as part of a promotion?

If you've read Bo's Lasting Lessons, you know that Bo practically wrote a Letter of Rec for him. His last two stops have been BC and Miami of Ohio, both of which have big time hockey programs as well as FBS football. This is way easier than finding a new coach.

Brad Bates' football coach hiring record is very mixed.
2005: Miami (OH): Promoted Shane Montgomery from OC to HC to replace Terry Hoeppner. Montgomery's best record occurred during his first year. His program turned progressively worse and he resigned after Year 4.
2008: Miami (OH): Hired Mike Haywood from ND. Haywood took Miami to a bowl during his 2nd year, then left for Pitt. He was fired from Pitt for a domestic violence episode before he coached a game.
2010: Miami (OH): Hired Don Treadwell from MSU. Treadwell coached for 2+ seasons, never achieved a winning record, and left in the middle of a 0-12 streak.
2012: Boston College: Hired Steve Addazio from Temple. TBD on results.

only fired Haywood because of sponsors.

This. You have consider the sources he's been working with at the schools. BC and Miami are not football powerhouses. You'd have to be a clueless moron to fuck up a football hire at a place like Michigan (yes, that's what I'm insinuating).
Another consideration, besides him having gone to Michigan, is that his last two stops are at pretty good academic schools that have successful sports outside of football/basketball. I think he would make sure to heed the STUDENT part in student-athlete and pay attention to non-revenue sports. He's a homerun hire if you can get him.

Also note that the last two Michigan ADs have been proven to be clueless morons at one point or another.

Definitely Coke. I used to work at Ugo's and Coke forced so many unwanted promotions down our throats.

I'm not part of the hate/blame everything on Dave Brandon bandwagon but this has to go down as one of the worst ideas ever.
The entire department that authorized this should be packing up their offices now, whether thats the entire athletic department or just some division. This is downright embarrassing for the program. IF you are worried about the crowd or sellout, you easily could've what you said and Coke "buy" the tickets and donate them to Wounded Warrior

That is a great idea sir. I will be changing it right now. Unfortunately Saturday is really not a holy day of obligation for me anymore.

My father said a guy from his firm is going to the ticket office tomorrow to return his tickets. I'll let you know how it goes. Might be something for everyone to consider.
$1.50 for a $75 ticket is 2% of face value. If you are a season ticket holder, you should be beyond pissed off. They should be lowering the prices or rebating season ticket holders, not tossing tickets out for corporate promotions. I guess Brandin' loves his corporate friends more than loyal season ticket holders.

I hope it gets students in the seats. Yes I am one of those people who think student tickets should be $10 a game. It's about the students man! When I was in school demand was so high that we had split tickets. You could only go to half the home games. Let's get the demand up again.

Buy one FB ticket, get one free, also free kids admission. And they look pretty good this year--just beat Holy Cross 41-18.
