Today is the Big Wash for me. I wash every shirt, pair of shorts, pants and socks that I'm scheduled to wear for games so it's ready for the season.

Game week is officially tomorrow for me. The first Monday presser, the first episode of Inside Michigan Football, pressers all week and the Inside Michigan FB Radio Show on Wednesday night.

Gonna be interesting adjusting to all that with college starting this week.

that you've rented the entire nearby laundrymat for the day and hired a crew to help you through it all.  With the Michigan wardrobe you've both shown us and talked about over the last several months, I'm thinking that my entire section in The Big House could be clothed with all your stuff.

And "...every shirt, pair of shorts, pants and socks that I'm scheduled to wear for games..." ???  Do you 'script' your gameplan for this like football teams script their first offensive drive of the game?

Dude, I know that you are a megafan. Total respect for that. For a 38 year old with a wife, kids and demanding job, I spend an inordinate amount of time following Michigan. But, of serious, is probably a bit much. Lately, it seems like your posts are designed to show just how overly obsessed you are with Michigan. Not sure if this is a schtick and meant to be a running joke (and if so, I apologize for missing it) or if you are serious. But, if the latter, I know that this is a michigan blog and I am just a random poster who never met you, you might want to take a step back and evaluate the level of your obsession. Again, absolutely not meant in a dickish way, just trying to be constructive.

It's kind of a running joke, how insane WD is, but this is still what I do.

I know I'm a freak and I embrace it.

It's not like I shut myself away from the outside world, though. I go out and do things with friends. Last year I balanced social life and Michigan pretty much perfectly. Made the most of my senior year of HS.

I expect to continue that balance with college but hopefully with better results on the Football field this year for Michigan.

I hear you and sorry if my last comment came off as anything but constructive. Like you, I embrace my Michigan obsession and try to balance it. Ab example of my own equally insane obsession: I don't want the games live unless they are night games. Because I work pretty long hours during the week, I can't justify ignoring my kids for 3+ hours every Saturday for the entire fall. Plus, kid activities get in the way. So, my wife and I Dvr all of the games and go on a complete media blackout from the time of kickoff. Cell phones and home phone are off. No computers or email. No tv (we pre-record kid shows for the kids) and we don't go to places that have the tv. Essentially, we go Amish for the day to avoid finding out anything about the game. Kids go to bbed a bit earlier than usual and we start the game and watch it "live" around 8:30. For that reason, night games are the best, 3:30 is tolerable and noon is torture for is.

Like you, probably a bit obsessive, but it works for us. Go blue!
