just a split second too slow...
And then that happens. Another great goal from the knockouts. Maybe Mexico could pull this off...
Good strike for Dos Santos
was a big time goal! I was going to write how an early goal while your team still had it's wits about it would be such a lift. Great goal by Dos Santos.
Assuming they hold on their next matchup is with Costa Rica or Greece.(Most likely Costa Rica) If you can tie Brazil and beat Netherland you probably are one of the favorites.
Blind probably should have got there. Filling in for de Jong who would have had dos Santos on his ass.
he shoots...nope
On replay the goalie probably should have done better with that but it was still an excellent strike
Obviously a lot of time left in the game, but Mexico is playing with a little something in their step. And yet another sub for the Netherlands...what's up with only having three subs all game anyways? Seems like you should be able to play as many as you want.
Makes you use strategy
Wow, Ochoa!
The Fortress of Fortalesa (sp.) stops a strike again!
territory and the quick strike back almost cost El Tri. Nice effort by the Netherlands, what's there nickname, anyone know?
Oranje
The Netherlands are getting some good chances. I'm not up on my soccer but is taking out offense a better idea than leaving him in there? Seems like you are playing with fire.
Guardado and Ayun nearly cost their team there. No need to be cute around the box when it can lead to counterattack.
That is awfully impressive.
Amazing what a change at the top can accomplish
He misses the next game - if Mexico gets there - and then he gives the Netherlands ANOTHER opportunity.
very Van Persie like, I must add...
Half of Holland will be unhappy either way
I see what you did there...
To think the only reason Mexico was able to qualify for the World Cup was because the United States helped them out.....
come Christmas
that cross went nowhere. He should have brought it back. The Dutch do the same thing on the other side of the field. Play continues into the 72"
the team is beginning to wilt. I"m Impressed with Robben, the dude still plays like he's fresh.
Hasn't done anything all game. An ineffective striker is competely useless at this point.
Huntelaar, the Dutch Emile Heskey, comes on? Interesting decisions here by Van Gaal.
LOL! That is such a great comparison
Mexico is almost there! Mexico seems to do better out of the 'cooling breaks', must be the water!
I was always told not to drink the water in mexico....
this is beginning to feel very USA Portugal; Mexico better keep playing hard because you know the Dutch will...
I know the dude was off side, but still...85th minute!!
The tension is building...86th minute!!
Does Ochoa always perform this well, or only during World Cups?
Gooooaaaaallll, Netherlands!
1-1.
