Selection Show Open Thread
I hope other teams have to play Florida and Louisville.
Hey guys. Just funneling a little luck M's way; here you go...
I really want to play with her boobs.
The powers of the unknown commodity called GOOGLE say the show is on CBS at 6:00, so it won't be on anything related to ESPN.
Why couldn't they fill this time with more awesome shots of Gumbel scribbling furiously on his note sheet? I want to see that.
"One Shinging Moment" - what a great song that is like, just horrible now. It should have no longer been used for March Madness at least a decade ago.
No team winning the Big 10 tournament has ever made it to the Final Four. So we have that!
because earlier we saw all the national champions that were also conference tournament champions. Doesn't seem to apply as much to the Big Ten?

Knowing The Shot and THJ's slow-mo chest thumping was coming.
Are they going to do something stupid like take the whole show to announce the 1 seeds?
Usually they anounce the 1's right off the bat, then go region by region.
Friday game, please. That may be my number one hope.
Because this .gif is important
Wow. Florida didn't get Cal Poly as a possible match-up? They were 13-19!
LOL
I love how they refer to the first round as the stupid play in games. No...no. The first round commences on Thursday.
Huh, don't they usually announce all of the 1-seeds first then go through the brackets?
Whoa, not unveiling all four 1 seeds at the top….
Actually, yes.
how anti-climactic would it be if we find out we're a #2 in a region before they even get a chance to announce the 4th #1 seed lol
Well Kansas isn't in our bracket. Phew!
Man...I sure don't miss the days of hoping we're in the tournament and watching our fans on TV celebrate.
They ship VCU out to San Diego and make them play SF Austin who's won 27 or 28 straight.
Damn that's a loaded bracket.
New Mexico actually dangerous for Kansas without Embiid. Potentially huge upset early there.
They got screwed. They're 20th in the polls, win their conference against SDSU, and get a 7 seed? Does not make sense to me.
wow the south is going to be tough...FL, KU and SU
Anyone have experience with regional round tickets? Looking at Madison Square Garden if we get the East. Do the schools or alumni associations get any tickets? Do I have to go on stubhub right now and buy $400 crappy seats?

I would check MSG or ticket master first. last year in Dallas for the sweet 16, ticketmaster still had tickets on sale for face value (i think $90 for all 3 games) while stubhub was going for 100+
With Cuse in the south, ticket prices should come down unless Nova fans take all the ticket.
Also, as another reference point...Final 4 and Championship game tickets last year were going for $350 so MSG pricesshould come down. Only thing is those were in football stadiums so a lot more seats were available.
Fla, KS and Syr in the South. I like it so far.
Excellent. We won't have Kansas to worry about.
A theoretical OSU-Syracuse matchup will end 35-32 in OT
OSU vs Dayton is a dream matchup for Dayton.
Dang, that region is nostalgic.
Florida, Kansas, Syracuse, OSU all in the South. Seems tough.
Tough draw for ohio having to face that defense of Syracuse in the second round... not good for a team that can't shoot
If they get there. And they won't.
Go Flyers!
A poor offense versus Syracuse's 2-3 zone (which I was informed numerous times before our game with them last year was impossible to score on). Might get ugly for OSU, that assuming they even escape Dayton
