BTT Open Thread

Submitted by BlueinTC on

Starts with IU v IL at 12.

Would love to be tourney champ but the extra time to rest would be alright.   Regular season champs, to me, is far bigger than the BTT.

Want ILL for the first one.  Predictions for the rest: OSU, Minny, Iowa - not to hard to predict those.

Schedule as follows:

IU v ILL, 12 BTN

OSU v Purdue, 2:30 BTN

Minn v PSU, 6:30 ESPN2

Iowa v NW, 9, ESPN2

Thought we took Spike over Della Valle as we were looking for a PG incase Burke left.  Though I'd take either one over him at this point.  Thought he was supposed to be a pretty good shooter and maybe shooting 35% from 2 is good by OSU standards, but he's no where close to LeVert or Albrecht.

Why is he not terrible? He is terrible. He does nothing. He's all stupid hair and pointless motion. The guy does nothing. As long as you put a hand in his face at the three point line, he is useless.

The guy hasn't put on an ounce of muscle since he got to college. He just runs around trying to look busy.

Wow, had they actually run a "fake-timeout and drive to the hoop" play, that would've been an extremely cerebral move. Might want to save that idea for when you're down though, and not trying to burn clock.

or you have a team that almost lost to a terrible Purdue team. I don't think either team is a big obstacle. I'm glad we may have a chance to beat them again.

I'm getting really tired of announcers talking about how wrong it is that Oklahoma State is going to get a seed in the 7-10 range. Yes they are talented, but they also lost a bunch of games this year and not all of them came when Smart was gone. They will get seeded at the spot they have earned.

Louisville is absolutely beating the shit out of Rutgers, 72-25, with 11:59 left in the second half.  Yeah.  Again, thank you, Jim Delany.

KU and OK-State are tied at 67 apiece with less than a minute to go.

I don't think he's made a shot in about 7 minutes, and he's taken some terrible looks at that.  I wouldn't be afraid of this team if Michigan draws them.

Rooting for Purdue is simply brutal. They are defined by being a team with five guys who you can tell over and over and over again to just keep Craft in front of you and make him shoot, and they will still not grasp the concept. Painter says he needs tougher players - I think he needs smarter players. That is a dumb team.

It is uncanny how much Stephens looks like Kid from Kid N' Play.

Rooting for Purdue was like being locked inside the closet of unfathomable sadness.

I would not be happy having Matt Painter as my team's coach, regardless of any success in the past. That team is a mess.

I agree with Dakich. It's bullshit that Mark Hollis is on the committee. Do you think he'll give us the benefit of the doubt with Michigan if we're right on the line between a 1/2/3 seed.

I'm headed to the game tomorrow and was wondering if they serve beer at the Fieldhouse for the BTT? I searched everywhere and I can't find it.
